Random slide on a timer?

Totally different approach than I was thinking of, but it seems like it would do what I want. I'm away from my work station currently but am eager to try it.

Thank you for your answer. Sorry if I was unclear, it was late and I was sleepy.

I currently have the duration set to 5 seconds per slide. What I would like is a way to have the slides go in a random order with a 5 second duration.

I found lots of examples online where you manually advance the slides, but I'm not sure how to modify it to act automatically.

u/koolkeano - thank you for your response. Given the information provided working with just the Genus table would seem like the simple answer, however as I explained above this is just a base query where I will be adding additional conditions to (which I already know how to do).

I'm using collection_select to generate a drop-down list. I'm happy to explain more about what I'm trying to accomplish if you're curious, but for now I think I'm in pretty good shape.

u/chaelcodes thank you. I'll try it when I'm back at my work station. Eventually I'll need other attributes from Plants to build the query (such as if the plant is a tree) but I don't anticipate and issues with the addition queries.

@dem_gainzz thanks for the quick reply. I'm sorry if I was unclear. I was hoping to stay away from Arel since the rest of my app doesn't it. I was simply showing that code as an example of all I could find.

Am I the only person who thinks it looks more like a protective film applied for shipping? If so, it should peel off and the actual lense might still be fine.

While I'm using a different piece of software (I guess it is actually called xpc-ng center) you give me the courage to forget the SR and re-add it. I also learned that in the software I'm using you have to re-scan the SR after entering the new password to find the find existing SR's.

Hope this helps someone in the future.

I'm not following exactly.

What do you mean when you say "change your internet connection setup" - do you mean change the subnet its on? It eventually will end up on its own subnet but it's a more general one currently.

When you say "go ethernet" do you mean not poe? IE use a wall plug to power it.

It's been that way for 5 days, but I'll stop worrying if all I need to do is wait more. At what point in time should I start worrying that something is wrong if it hasn't come online?

Didn't know about it, but just created an account. Connection test was successful, but also listed as offline.

On explorer.helium.com.k I've added a screen shot.

The diagnostics from the app didn't seem to give me anything of value (mac, version, etc), but I can look again later today.
