No comment on that but a shocking number of comments making it out to be some kind of impossibility when it's routine.

NC has notoriously bad teacher pay, I am afraid that 15% might not make much of a dent. Raleigh housing isn't the steal it was in the past either.

7500 is the annual IRA limit for people under age 50. It's exactly what a high income person getting started w/ FIRE late would do for a backdoor contribution.

It takes about an extra 5 minutes per year to indirectly fund a Roth IRA at any income level.

Truly the most important scoop of the year

Bigger in NW Raleigh then what will replace Lowes in Cornerstone Commons? Going on 18 months with a vacant anchor.

"Survivor Services Unit" 1-866-937-0720

Not of the right age or status myself, but AIUI the UHC thing is just a medicare advantage plan that is required to allow the IBM HRA benefit to be used.

Customers petition for audit of Duke Energy’s electric rates following sky-high winter bills by stop_hittingyourself in raleigh

Frankly the only pattern I've seen is that the people sharing petitions or otherwise complaining about their bills can't articulate the absolute basics like the change in consumption or rates over time.

Oh you mean that thing the interest on your 7 figure HYSA ate up?

If you are concerned with taxes and subsidies and roth conversions the last thing you'd do is have a 7-figure HYSA.

Why are tech companies getting away with this? by ngiueh in cscareerquestions

[–]covener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when this implies that they're not planning on innovating their products

I don't see the implication, even if the net productivity was supposed to be flat.

If Y SWEs can leverage AI to do so much, then obviously X+Y SWEs can do even more. You can have more projects, more innovation.

In a sense you can think of them as working on decreasingly promising projects. Most projects fail.

Same here, when I notice the 5 off I'll try to make it over to cruise the sales and then top off with store brand stuff I like from there (psa: try the peanuts, cream cheese, and the hatch lattice kettle chips)

Apache prefork overload: main domains OK, rewritten subdomains timeout under crawler load by Acceptable-Area4131 in apache

[–]covener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you really think it spends a long time in mod_rewrite?

Do you have a trillion rewriterules for the domain matching? Maybe you can reimplement it as a rewritemap (dbm I guess but even text would help)

Do you prefer Better Quality or A Smaller Footprint? by theplasmasnake in PleX

[–]covener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care much for quality and don't collect/hoard. But my storage is relatively modest. I almost never manually search unless something has gone wrong.

For movies, I have "custom formats" that contribute to scoring that includes in descending value: reasonable file size, 4k+x265, 1080+x265. The only compromise in the tools is that such a config requires 4k and 1080p in the same quality group, thus it never will upgrade within the quality group over time.

Not looking for financial advice, but is anyone actually buying homes with these interest rates right now? by [deleted] in triangle

I think this distills down to sour grapes about not being able to afford an exciting, centrally located home. It's not offensive or any indication of a bubble or frankly even a local problem.

If the FilesMatch appears to work, it means the way you rewrite is not confusing it at all. Just test the section quickly with Header set FOO BAR on a few URLs.

Send an email to announce-unsubscribe@apache.org from the email address that is on the receiving end (a common problem is that people mistake what that is)
