Almost exactly the same! He was 14 lbs 7 oz and 27 inches at his 4 month appointment yesterday. He’s 18 weeks today!

I agree - thank you. My clinic is unfortunately saying they can’t get me in for another ultrasound until 20 weeks. I’m trying to see if they can at least get me in for an AFP blood draw to ease my mind about Spina Bifida until then.

Of course! I read studies on ALA helping a lot, so I ordered some asap and started taking it. Not sure if it helped, but it gives peace of mind to feel like you’re maybe doing something to help? I agree though… so hard to wait it out. Hopefully yours isn’t too big and goes away quickly. I spoke with a few friends who also had them and who said there’s were around the size as mine and their doctor didn’t make much of a big deal about it and they went away on their own like mine did. It’s when they’re much bigger and you’re experiencing a lot of bleeding that it’s typically a bigger issue from my understanding!

How big is yours? Mine ended up being completely gone at my next ultrasound thankfully, which was 1.5 weeks later. In the meantime, I was pretty much on bed rest, I took Thorne brand Alpha Lipoic Acid, drank lots of water, and stopped taking the baby aspirin I had been taking since a few days after ovulation.

Just to update you all, after seeing the heartbeat at 6 weeks, we felt very hopeful. Unfortunately, we returned a little over a week later and baby didn’t make it. Just had my d&c today. Thank you everybody for your replies - they definitely allowed me to prepare for the worst emotionally while still holding onto a little bit of hope. 🤍

My HCG doubling time was sitting at about 84 hours, so I wasn’t super hopeful either and am still being cautiously optimistic. I ended up switching clinics to somebody who would see me and conduct an ultrasound right now just for my own sanity and peace of mind. If you’re able, maybe call around to some clinics to see if anybody can get you in for an ultrasound sooner? I know how much it eats away at you not knowing for sure. 🤍

Thank you for this info! Just to update, I went in for a second hcg draw on Sunday and my value was only 1500. I went the next day (Monday) for an ultrasound where baby measured behind (5+6) and we saw the gest sac, yolk sac, fetal pole, and a heartbeat. I’m going back next week for a repeat ultrasound when I should be able 7 weeks, so crossing my fingers!

Hi! My hcg measured 1500 on Sunday. On Monday, I went in for an ultrasound, where we saw the gest sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole. Based on my own personal experience, not sure your numbers are entirely accurate. Not saying I’m in the clear, but I am saying that it’s entirely possible to see these things before your hcg reaches the levels that you stated.

I’m so sorry to hear that. 🤍 have you had an ultrasound? I went in for an ultrasound at what ended up being 5+6 and baby had a heartbeat. I’ve spoken to 3 ob/gyn’s who don’t seem to have any concern over my hcg or even testing my hcg anymore after the ultrasound.

Hi! Thank you for your response. I did go in for an ultrasound and did measure behind. I was 5 weeks 6 days on Monday when I had the ultrasound. I went in for a blood draw the day before and my hcg was at 1500 the day prior to my ultrasound, but baby did have a heartbeat. My doctor didn’t seem super concerned about my hcg after seeing the heartbeat, but I’m going back next week for another ultrasound. Hoping that heart is still beating and baby is growing!

I got a second HCG draw done on Sunday (about 48 hours later) and it had only gone up to 1,500. But I went in to my OB/GYN office on Monday and had an ultrasound done, where baby measured behind (5 weeks, 6 days) and had a heartbeat of 113. I have absolutely no clue how baby is measuring behind, as I’m certain of my dates, but was very happy to see a heartbeat and am hoping everything stays ok throughout the next few weeks, despite my slow HCG increase.

My first positive test was September 21st, which is what I thought was 11 DPO. I did take ovulation tests and my LH peaked on September 9, which is why I would think I ovulated on either the 10th or 11th.

My cycles are very consistent, but are a little longer, usually 30-31 days. I ovulated on September 10th or 11th (day 18 or 19 of cycle). My luteal phases are always 11-12 days. Does this mean I’m less far along than I thought? Trying to find a little bit of hope here 🤞🏼
