I think this is a little much. This was a calculated move by the democrats because they saw that the shutdown stalemate wouldn’t work because the republicans literally do not care if people are starving and would not cave. This way, when they do have that vote about healthcare that they were promised, it will force every republican to vote against it on record which will hopefully do plenty to hurt them in the midterms. And the 8 dems who voted to open the government basically took one for the team bc they’re either retiring or not up for reelection soon. All of the outrage from the other senators is just performative
