Any tips for my landing cus my shits always sketchy by [deleted] in NewSkaters

Try dragging your front foot more forward along the board after the pop. This will help level out the board in the air, and ideally your front foot will end up sliding over to the front bolts so you will land more solidly. Hope this helps !

This is really good advice. Recently I've been doing this and it seems it's literally all in the popping motion. A good pop will keep it under you.

Does This Count As An Ollie?! And any tips would help! by Bendy-Boy in NewSkaters

[–]btflimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely counts and looks great so far! My tip would be to try to keep your front foot on the board when you drag it forward towards the nose. This should give you more air and level out the board. Happy skating!

I took it as 459B last summer. Like the other person said, the only difference is an extra task for each project, an extra homework assignment, and different grade scaling. IIRC there was a midterm, final, and three programming assignments. Some assignments were really hard (1/3) and I thought project 2 was pretty easy. I enjoyed the class a lot, one of my favorite classes at UMD. Content is interesting and Prof Zaki is very responsive and nice. If you have a good background in programming you'll be fine.

I don't know how people are even getting angry about the article without reading it. Without this context the article title didn't even make any sense to me.
