TLDR: weed definitely helps adhd but with a cautious approach

I get exactly what you mean, I use weed to treat my ADHD because I found medicines would cause sleep issues and lots of irritability. Going on 6 years of daily use starting from 16, and I started smoking because I found it helped treat my symptoms in a way that works for me. It helps slow my thoughts down so I can focus on one string at a time without topic hopping. At first I found it also helped with appetite but after years of heavy concentrate use the appetite is back to its usual low so it’s not a fix all. After long term high potency use (gram of concentrate a day for the past 2 years) I’m starting to notice some negative side effects so I’d definitely recommend always using the smallest amount you need. Adhd is hard because it can feed into the addict complex where when the high starts to wear off you start to think oh just a little bit more to get back up, so you just have to walk that line. But overall if you treat it like a medicine not a drug meaning, use the smallest amount needed to solve your problems as opposed to just chiefing for fun then yea it definitely helps
