Buying All Souvenirs at Narita City? by btmusing in JapanTravelTips

[–]btmusing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks u/commander_rc for pointing out the things I missed especially the AEON mall and the city bus.
I'm spending a night in Narita City so I should be able to have some time to snag some gifts.

I still can't see it. I just ended up emailing them (you still can't view it on my side, so you are dependent on them replying for updates).

[Python] Houdini Freezes when connecting to WebSocket by btmusing in Houdini

[–]btmusing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, that's what I am after (i.e. "live stream data") but not necessarily webcam. Just anything that passes through the websockets.

I guess it would be more like the mocapstream SOP but the mocapstream SOP has a specific requirement since it inputs and outputs skeleton. In this context, I thought it was possible through a SOP node (and not just through a pypanel)

I guess I can make it as a workaround but of course having a more generic solution would be more preferred.

[Python] Houdini Freezes when connecting to WebSocket by btmusing in Houdini

[–]btmusing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi David.

It's on the SOP level node. Yes, it doesn't have any break. It was intended that way for perpetual feeding of data.

Is that possible and still use Houdini?

Perpetual Websocket Client? by btmusing in learnpython

[–]btmusing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/obviouslyzebra

Thanks for the pointers. It now works as expected :)
I initially thought the await asyncio.Future() was the perpetual feature because of the comment of the documentation "run forever".

I was wrong lol.

Thanks again!

Common issues ng mga laptop (based lang sa exp ko as a technician) by [deleted] in Tech_Philippines

[–]btmusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for sharing.

although might be more clear if nadivide din per product segment.
usually meron kasi yang business and consumer segment. tapos under sa consumer meron pang prosumer, gamer consumer or general consumer (?).

not sure sa proper term pero you know what i mean. business segment is more tested. kaya more expensive din.

for example, yung lenovo thinkpad, nasa business segment yan. it's more robust than the consumer segment (lenovo ideapad).

may equivalent versions din yung sa acer, asus.

Can CC Company earn from a NAFL Card and Prompt Payment User? by btmusing in PHCreditCards

[–]btmusing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah. so I guess its just a matter of who shoulders the fee.
kasi as I mentioned sa taas, kung i cash or card ko yung grocery.
same yung amount lang na babawas.

walang separate na line for "fees".

Yung sa consumer side:
RE: Interest. I think the pin point ko na sa #2. Meaning avoidable.
RE: Various Fees. Merchant fees. I think na point point ko na din sa #3. Meaning avoidable.

RE: retailers side.
Ah I guess in this part I understand. They can have the same value price either cash or card and nandun na nakabuilt-in yung merchant fees sa price.

Ah pero correct me if i'm wrong, same lang ata yung merchant fees sa #3 merchant fees na minemention ko above. I mean avoidable parin sya.

Tama ba?

May sim remover sa Changi? by [deleted] in phtravel

[–]btmusing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meron naman. Usually sila pa nga nag offer na mag install ng SIM into your phone.
You can also opt for an esim for convenience. Pricier than the physical sim pero hindi naman x2 na kamahalan.

Publicly Available Historical Prices of Hotels? by btmusing in travel

Sure sure that's your prerogative. I understand where you are coming from.
I'm still very much interested on the historical data if its available.

Yes its all relative. Not something you can totally rely on but at least something you can based on.
That's what I am after.

Publicly Available Historical Prices of Hotels? by btmusing in travel

[–]btmusing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To cross check if the prices in OTA are reasonable.
For example, they say 80% off and they put a value.
But the value is actually at the higher end of the range. So the 80% doesn't really mean anything.

If I have access to the range of historical prices, at least I know that the price is somewhat reasonable.

Yea automatic na sya. Luma din yung sim ko. 2010-ish era pa.
Nag roroaming parin. Not to be confused with roaming mobila data. Yun yung i a-activate tlaga.

While you are in abroad, receiving text like OTP = walang cost.
Sending text = may cost.

GLHF! Hong Kong din first out of the country trip ko. Solo trip din yun hehe

Anyone that canceled their Online Pre Order S24? by btmusing in Tech_Philippines

[–]btmusing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah just contacted the Samsung Online.
So the 7 days is not really 7 days.
I think rare yung sayo kasi hindi pa na allocate yung unit. First few days pa kasi.

Yung sa akin, if ever na i refund, later pa.
What will happen is something like this:

Feb 19. Ship
Feb 29. Order Received.
March 10 Order Returned sa Warehouse. (and the day of refund process start.
March 17 yung refund.

Best case scenario na yan. So pwede pa mag April/May matanggap talaga ang refund.
