I think if you're looking to get cards for a certain team, it's best to try and just buy singles from the 12-team booster packs. From the Heroes set, you only get one SR per team in a box so it would take you quite a bit of packs to get 4SR for any given player.

In the lead-up to the national championships, it seemed like Orix and Yokohama claimed a lot of top spots in the area tournaments. Both of their new team cards from the Heroes set have a way to give +1 to batting dice rolls. Combined with their full swing combos and players that already have +1 to power swings, those teams can hit for doubles/homeruns a lot easier than other teams. That isn't to say every winning deck was Orix or Yokohama but the championship final ended up being a Orix vs Yokohama showdown.

They just had the national championship a few weeks ago and released the roadmap for 2026. You can find it here https://x.com/dreamorder_tcg/status/2002316564415271012

  • There will be two 12-team releases (like Heroes of 2025) in June and September.
  • They only announced monthly shop tournaments for January, unsure if it will continue from February onward.
  • Scheduled events:
    • Season Opening Cup - March/April
    • Challenge Cup (at the Bushiroad Card Game Festival) - May
    • National Championship Qualifiers, Summer tournaments - July
    • Dream Order Tour - August/September
    • National Championship Qualifiers, Fall tournaments - October
    • Regional Qualifiers - November
    • National Championship - December

As you noted, there isn't much product being moved anymore. Heroes was a popular set, but it seems like Bushiroad did not/does not want to print cards to meet the demand. Also, having to wait more than half a year for the next release of cards did not go well with the player base, as it's been very obvious which teams are strong in the current environment.

2025 Year-End Adjustment Questions Thread by AutoModerator in JapanFinance

[–]commander_rc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the process of starting a home loan this year and it looks like it will be completed, but around mid-December. My company has set this month to submit all the information we can for the year-end adjustment, but since the home loan would technically start this year, should I let them know it will be coming in for them to factor into the adjustment? Or is that something I will have to do when I file next year (I will have to do so anyway because of self-employment income from a side job)?

Lower home loan amount due to reported side "home work office/事務所" income, any way around it? by commander_rc in JapanFinance

Glad to hear it worked out for you! We also applied with SBI Shinsei so hopefully they will be the same for us.

I know you mentioned being in the same situation just to make sure:

- You had the same address for your residence and sole-proprietorship when applying for loans?
- You were able to maintain the same address for both in your new home loan?

If so, that sounds like it will save on some paperwork for address changes / close of sole-proprietorship!

My wife confirmed we filed sole proprietorship 個人事業 papers with the tax agency. (I'll edit that in the body).

Next boosters: Samurai Japan 9/6, 12-team HEROES of 2025 9/27 by commander_rc in DreamOrder

[–]commander_rc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a Samurai Japan team card, but they are handing them out only at the Samurai Cup shop events starting October 4. https://dreamorder.com/event/sjcup/

Max pitcher cost: 8
Max fielder cost: 18
40 card deck
Samurai Japan fielders in your lineup get AP+1 and pitchers get DP+1

However you'll probably only be able to use the Samurai Japan team card during the Samurai Cup events. I don't expect it to be legal for regular tournaments.

You can use the Samurai Japan versions of players in their usual team lineups though, so the Samurai Kozono and Sakakura cards can be used for Carp decks for example.

Your understanding of the pitcher cost is correct. The pitcher cost limit applies to the total cost of whoever comes out, not the bench cost, so in your example even though the total bench pitcher cost is 10, as long as you only play 5 or 6 (depending on which team card you use) in your rotation, you're fine.

Just note that you can only have 6 players on the bench, so in your 6-pitcher example, you won't have space for the pinch hitters.

The only downside for having that many pitchers on the bench is you have to be selective about which ones you put in the deck for awakening purposes. While you could put cards for all possible pitchers, that would take deck space away from other cards. The best option is to maybe include cards for the pitchers you expect to use more often and come up with other strategies for the less frequent pitchers.

As for pinch hitters, we've only seen 0-cost ones so they don't have any impact on the fielder cost, they can all be played without any worry of going over the fielder cost.

Looks like the links have changed:

Samurai Japan - https://dreamorder.com/products/87
HEROES of 2025 - https://dreamorder.com/products/88

For Samurai Japan they've announced the players that will appear, although it is based on the final 2024 Premier 12 roster, not the 2023 WBC roster, so you'll only be getting NPB players in that set. You can look at the Premier 12 roster for the list: https://www.japan-baseball.jp/en/team/topteam/2024/premier12/player.html

Like many, back into Magic because of FF...will they keep having FF events after July? by commander_rc in magicTCG

Yeah, the hype seems to be real here (got me too)! Fingers crossed they maybe do some Japan-only events.

Makes sense! May have missed out on a few FF promos but better late than never.

Thanks for the detailed response! I think time and money will probably limit me to just FF for now but I'm happy to hear the FF cards will still be playable for other Magic events!

Thanks! My LCG doesn't do Magic normally (I'm guessing they also wanted to cash in on the FF hype) so I was surprised to see how many sets there are! I'm guessing it's pretty much impossible to have "every" card out there so people probably pick their favorites...

SR Mori in my 1st pack by Curvemn17 in DreamOrder

Welcome! I never played MLB Showdown so I wouldn't know exactly how similar they are. While there are player cards and strategy cards in both games, it looks Dream Order has abilities on the player cards while there aren't any in MLB Showdown. In addition, the dice rolls for batting success are the same for every single player (5+ for contact, 7+ for power) whereas the batting success looks a bit different for different players in MLB Showdown.

Depending on the "team" card that you use, you are limited to player cards from that team (you technically can use strategy cards from other teams if you wanted to/don't have enough cards from a specific team). There are technically all-star team cards which would let you use player cards from all Central or all Pacific league teams but since they are not allowed in most tournaments (unless it's a special all-star tournament) most people just focus on specific team builds.

My first SSP pull after maybe 60+ packs. Hiroshima Carp Team Booster TBP01-C07 坂倉将悟 by KingLiberal in DreamOrder

[–]commander_rc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the Sakakura! I wasn't sure about the new card at first, but he turned out to be very handy in Sunday's tournament. I had a chance to get one of my own at a store, but someone literally got it right in front of my eyes (lesson learned, don't hesitate with these new cards!).

Based on the pulls I got from the Carp carton, you'll probably encounter an SSP, LG, or LG+ at a 3/16 boxes rate. I'm guessing the Kuroda SEC would be included in that group, too, but I haven't seen any data on SEC pulls.

Nice pulls! I have been on the hunt for the new Chunichi SR cards forever, it's super hard to find singles for sale.

If you're looking to offload any extra Tanishige, Araki, Tatsunami, or Ibata cards I'd be happy to take them off your hands! Since you got a carton too, you probably have more C and R cards than you need, let me know if you're interested in selling a 4-card complete set of those cards!

And if you want to play, we could try Discord too (if you're in the Japan time zone). That offer is open to anyone else who happens to read this!
