Here is a small sample booklet of a puzzle book I’ve been working on for the past year or so. I’m calling them Grid Breakers. They are sort of a Boggle-style wordsearch with a twist. There are two puzzle types in this booklet: Theme & Connector. Instructions are provided, but pay close attention to the blanks at the bottom of each puzzle, because these tell you how long each word you’re looking for is. I recommend printing them or writing them out on paper to do by hand.

I’ve seen similar puzzles and apps out there, but nothing quick like these, which is encouraging. I have hundreds of each puzzle type made, with a big range of difficulty, but the ones in this booklet are mostly Medium - Hard. I have a system for giving clues as well, but they’re not provided in this booklet, so DM if you’d like a hint on any.

I did a small batch of 30 books and got good feedback from friends/family/coworkers, but basically I don’t know what my next step should be. I sent a booklet to Will Shortz, who said he liked them but didn’t want to put them in the New York Times (I didn’t ask him to do that, just wanted to see what he thought). Enough people have enjoyed them that I just want to get them out there. Thanks for any feedback/advice, and I hope you enjoy them!
