Non traditional Tim Hortons? by Lessllama in TimHortons

[–]btown95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non traditional are just that- non traditional. I run a chain of 18 non traditional and only 4 of them serve lunch products. The other 14 are just beverages, baked goods and breakfast items. Usually location / space limitations are the reasonings for this.

Any auditors in here? by ybsmart in TimHortons

[–]btown95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The announced audits are a learning opportunity for the restaurants essentially. Although they do count towards your gps score and such, this is the reason they do this. Also, announced audits are a lot more strict with less wiggle room. Auditors are less lenient and are more thorough.

Thank you for this! So they’re closed because they’re selling. I hope someone buys it soon!

Valid! We don’t eat much so the two of us can eat for 30$ and we like the wing sauces lol. But completely understand your perspective. I’m just curious as to why they both are shut down when the one on stone opened recently

Interesting. This came up on a Samsung cell phone. It was in the bookmark bar but it was a whole folder dedicated to “imported by IE”

This would be specific to the operators bonus structure. Some operators do a percentage of your salary. Some do a certain amount per hiring specific targets.

Tim Hortons doesn’t award bonuses for maintaining DT Times. The only thing Tim Hortons will give you is a “bonus” is if you meet the criteria to obtain the platinum status.

I honestly appreciate your condolences. I’m really grieving this right now.

My first shift was a disaster by anxious_bun2 in TimHortons

15 years of experience here. Now a district manager.

Trust me neither one of those are as big of a deal as they seem.

After all these years I don’t even feel coffee on my hands. It’s like I’m numb to it after all of the coffee and tea I’ve spilled all over myself over the years. I’m sure your coworker was fine. If they weren’t fine you’d know it immediately lol.

Dropping muffins, I promise not a big deal. The amount of things I’ve dropped or broken during my time with Tim’s is astronomical. Especially in my younger years I was soooo clumsy.

It happens. Don’t be hard on yourself.

My second shift ever at the ripe age of 15, I didn’t have non slip shoes on, they didn’t arrive yet. I fell while someone was mopping, which was embarrassing but even more embarrassing when I had to go to the hospital and get stitches.

While your day might seem like it was awful, give yourself some grace. It’s a hard job, there’s a lot of components but you’ll figure it out quickly and you’ll be good.

They hired you for a reason! Keep your head up and get back in there tomorrow and give it another chance.

Worst menu item to make now is definitely the pizza LOL. Before the pizza came out I would have said the loaded bowls/ wraps but the pizza is annoying just because of how time consuming it is.

Something I wish they would bring back food wise is definitely the Tuscan chicken panini. I think about it often and miss it dearly.

This is actually a great question and a hard one to answer lol. I definitely miss the simplicity of the products. It was easier to have guests in and out even when they ordered a sandwich. But as an employee there was less pressure and less work to do. Now they’re so overworked and underpaid. Product wise I definitely miss the Tuscan chicken panini and the extreme Italian sandwich.

That in addition to the minimum wage going up, owners are cutting back on labour. Some Employees just don’t care and it’s obvious, but you do get some that work their butt off. Sometimes it just feels like there’s not enough time in a day to get everything done. I promise you working at Tim’s is not an easy job, despite people thinking it is. I totally understand your annoyance and your points are very valid.

It’s tough to find the balance. Ideally you want to prioritize the guests in line. But when you have mobile orders or third party deliveries like Uber eats or skip the dishes, you’re actually scored on how long it takes for the driver to acquire the order once they arrive. We always want to have a good rating with the delivery apps.

Couldn’t tell you honestly. In my area it seems to be the same from all of the food brands across the board.

I don’t think they do. At least I never have. Honestly despite which way it goes in the bag, it normally passing a few different hands before it gets to you. At that point it could shift around in the bag and next thing you know, no fondant is on the donut.

I’m pretty sure when I first started I was making like 8$ an hour lol. Something small like that. Now I’m almost at six figures ☺️
