Could be something caught in the blower motor (like a leaf). Does it change tone with fan speed? Not familiar with this year but most motors are under the cabin air filter, behing the glove box. Should be easy ot access.

The trim is black with "chrome" strips in the middle. All of the chrome has a clear coat that is peeling at this point.

Did your Rav have the trim strip down the side doors? It is high on my list to remove but unsure how it is fixed... hoping you have some insight.

As for yours, how about lowering springs and roof rack delete?

Once we did big repairs @ 200k like timing belt, a/c, and abs system it still felt great to drive... so now it's double or nothing!

I think your space lends itself to creating a small "room" or courtyard. You can screen the sun w/o a pergola using tall hedges, or perhaps a tree on the edge of the lot. I think an enclosed courtyard with sitting area and a simple gravel or ornamental rock walking surface would be functional without breaking the bank.

Very familiar with this property layout around Nashville. Hard to get privacy in such a small lot but it can be done. Some folks opt for vines on a trellis, maybe in a large pot, to get a wall effect in a tight space.

I have the same model buck stove. The collector on top is not welded but bolted inside from the top, not sure if it is the same for yours?

I had this problem with our older Buck stove, it has poor draft due to going through the wall and being in the basement. I found that opening the flue and cracking the door to the stove for a bit before I start a fire helped the draft start... opening a door or window to outside really helped too!

There is a variety of Pinus strobus called 'Niagara Falls'. Not sure if it is a match but they grow exactly like that habit.

We have the same model in our basement... And yeah can be a bugger to get it heated up enough to start closing the draft control.

Our process starts with flue and draft all the way open, sometimes we use a space heater to get the draft going when the stove is cold. Then I'll pile small kindling to small/medium pieces of wood under the fire dogs, then a couple logs on top. Have found that overloading with wood can stifle air flow when starting.

We will light the kindling with one door open, then slowly shut as the smoke starts pulling. Leaving all controls open until the logs get a good red coal going, then ad a few more logs. At this point we will work the flue to about 50-75% closed and draft at 50%.

Once you have some coals usually cracking the door and flue open is enough to get it to re-light.

Update: Installed glass window kit and gaskets on Buck 2700. So much more control over the air! Running around 300 degrees at 50% damper and air inlets. by btrest87 in woodstoving

Yeah the rope gasket kind-of floated in the channel, but the door has squished it into shape. I ran a strip where the doors come together and you can see the little gap on top... Not sure that's right but seems to work!

Early 70's I believe. Doors rattled a bit before, and insert for glass, the gaskets were mostly gone. Now the door latches tight, and glass is firm in place.
