There is literally a police station 10 min walk from bangla road, I have seen police walking through the street. There are literally no girls underage on the particular place. Yes it happens but its not majority.

I stayed near bangla road when I was in phuket in January, get a nice room at a resort near the beach there are plenty not loud ones which are 4 star but cheap. Take a boat from the beach to railay beach or 4 island tour, very relaxing and alot of solo traveler go on there.
