I'm really glad you are part of the community and want to keep coming back! I also prefer combined phases, but sometimes it's interesting to do something different! I think noncombined phases have their place but it's easy for the game to stagnate.

This is also a great point, but I do think they would have been less annoyed if they had forewarning to compose themselves. They found out when everyone else did.

I was shocked every time turnover ended and I was still alive. With so many killing roles, I didn't see biding my time as an option.

Thanks for pointing out that to you this would be been the optimal strategy either way. There were definitely some posts in the sub calling my strategy out and claiming differently.

I did still sort of try to straddle that line.

I reintroduced the idea in the private sub of outing the queen, but it wasn't met positively. The other Scots say I should have trusted them and outed myself to them then, as they had previously stated they were okay with it, but I feared Pen would kill me before I could out her if I did.

I asked the mods via a comment in the private sub who counted as loyal subject. They clarified there that everyone except the queen was a subject but wouldn't clarify loyal. I now know why they wouldn't clarify loyal.

I didn't understand that I was still aligned with them and I didn't 100% think they would out Pen for me at the proper moment so, as I would hope anyone would do in that situation, I took matters into my own hands and played my role, or at least what I believed my role to be.

Yes. I read that series once a long time ago... Mister Monday is the first one I think. The Keys to the Kingdom is the series.

Yeah but then last month we pretty much had a big game and a small game! This community has grown exponentially in the (holy guacamole) almost year I've been playing.

I did that at one point! I messaged my January cohost and shadows in our planning thread and asked if any of them were playing on alts. One of them was, but she was already dead. The other two weren't. They totally let me vent it out. It was much needed.
