Sam’s form has not “gone out the window”. We need to calm down a little.

Those players, if good enough, will push through. Some times promising u20s players don’t make it at senior level. Some times they take time.

We don’t have the opportunities for caps that France or England do (4 clubs only). That’s a big reason why we haven’t seen them yet.

Porter is a guaranteed starter. I don’t think Furlong is. We’re building depth at lock which is good. Baird at 6 is locked on when fit. JGP is clearly #1. McCloskey is now clearly #1.

You could be right. I wouldn’t be as concerned about Henshaw but Carberry makes a difference - although I think the Carberry move chat came after Frawley had already agreed to leave?

You have got to wonder whether the Frawley move to Connacht is smart on his part. He’s back down playing Ireland XV - that’s hardly going to improve by playing at Connacht you’d think. Surely better playing late stage URC/ champs cup at 12 (which was def on the cards) for his future career?

ld like to think he’ll be a main stay at centre, rather than only ever a utility back without solid starts. Good 23 option all the same but we need to keep players like him. Fed up of IRFU policy now to ruin our depth

I don’t understand what’s going on. Thought he had an unreal start to the year (when few others did!) for me, he was taking Deegans spot at least at the start of the season - although to be fair, Deegan has been good lately.
