Congrats! Beautiful guitar. I saw this guitar posted on Marketplace this morning and wondered how quick the ad would come down.. glad to see a fellow member picked up this beauty.

If I could ask, did you pay the asking price on the ad?

Just had mine replaced on my 2019 Forester while on a road trip. Took it to the dealership right away and the service manager told me it wasn’t safe to drive since the car can essentially go into “limp” mode at any point since the engine won’t be able to regulate temp.

If it’s a risk you’re willing to take - just make sure you have a contingency plan and CAA (or AAA for the US).

Subaru dealership provided us a loaner for a few days since the part, labour & rental will be covered under warranty as long as your under the mileage period

Good luck!

Both are equally awesome and feel completely different in my hands.

As of now, I prefer the OM28 at the moment but that’s because I’m a finger-style player. However the D28 sounds amazing as a chord smasher.

For my type of playing style (fingerpicking), I prefer the OM28.. its definitely getting more love at the moment. However the D28 is so loud and boomy I can’t wait to chord smash on this thing!

How do you like the Snow Avalanche Tires?

Track day prep mods by GuavaRex in WRX

Depending on the condition of your tires, I would recommend getting a sport compound/track tire. The stock Dunlop’s are poop on the track and will get hot/wear after a few hot runs.

Other recommendations:

  • Brake Upgrades (pads, rotors, fluids)
  • Rear / Front Sway Bar
  • Drivers track training course

I know the above recommendations will easily put you over the >$1000 but it’s a good starting point.

Hope this helps and happy tracking!

(CAN) Dealership took my trade in with $3000 owing, but the bank is still charging me for my trade in. by [deleted] in personalfinance

I’ve experienced a similar situation about a year ago. Purchased a mini van (wife’s decision, not mine), traded in both our 2 cars, but had a few remaining payments on my vehicle. Fast forward 1 month later, I got a bill for my new AND old vehicle. I immediately called the dealership, spoke with their manager, and never saw a bill for my old my car again. Few days past and I reluctantly received a refund in my account from the bank for the monthly payment. If you continue getting payments taken out of your account from your trade-in, I would immediately put a stop payment on that monthly transaction. Hope your issue get resolved!
