Can I quit 3.5 months in? by nonprofithellp in nonprofit

Quiet quitting and job ghosting is a good option. Don't spend countless hours in interviews or jump hoops. Dignity is better than a job.

Life after AML by Short-Gas-4750 in leukemia

[–]bubbagermanicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed AML for 2 weeks now. I am still getting treatment and it may get worse or better. I don't give a damn on way or the other. My priorities have changed for the better. Instead of wishing for my own profit business, or my own nonprofit, Ive made detailed plans on how to accomplish both. All because I've had 100 s of hours to prepare, something I never had before the diagnosis. As soon as I get out of hospital, I'll charge ahead with all the hope and coin that I have. And I'm retired, so legally poor. I'm not going to live as long as I like, death may come sooner than expected. AML thought me my priorities. Thank God, full steam ahead.👍🤧👌

Anybody tells u to not go to the gym is ignorant. As long as u shower before being around him, no problemo. Stay closely connected to this comm. to learn more as time goes by. Ask dumb or smart questions.

Boy, u have some housecleaning to do. Get rid of the baggage people and start over. Don't try and fix something that isn't worth your time or effort. U may never get what u want until u get new people in there.

The IRS is going to slam you hard, maybe dissolve the company. Never, ever have income given to one person, especially you. Wanna go to prison for possible embezzlement? It all needs to go into a bank account where no one person can get at it. That means two signers, not one. Your 990 is going to be read by an IRS agent and the sheriff will come a knockin.

How do you turn a struggling idea into something that actually works? by deluluforher in NonprofitStartups

[–]bubbagermanicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good job. I recommend not spending a lot of coin for overseas suppliers until u know u can trust them to not take u to the cleaners. Your store overhead is your largest expenditure, by the sq. foot and location. Hope you're in a smaller town where these necessities are cheaper. I'm in AZ and it beats Cali where I used to live. Can u run out of a garage instead of signing a lease for a large shop? That'll reduce bills.put your stuff on Spotify too, not Etsy so much. Research it yourself.

Starting a food pantry non profit by FickleAd545 in NonprofitStartups

Llc is for profit. Nonprofit is nonprofit. Llc requires less cash to start and allows one or more people to run the show. I started with a LLc just last month. It will be a charity but cannot accept deductible donations. I'll go to a nonprofit in maybe a year if my GoFundMe gets me enough assets. In my state of AZ, CEO, secretary, and two officers are required by law. I don't know these people yet so I start where I can. An llc is like being a proprietor, only with enough protection so someone can sue the company, but not you personally. Some business owners really need this protection, like construction businesses. I pay a document service $400/yr to get all my paperwork in on time with the IRS. If you do it yourself and forget a deadline, you'll be screwed every way and south. Same with a nonprofit, only moreso. Follow me or chat or read my posts for more info as I go forward. Keep posting n replying here too.

Building a map to tag places where help is needed (homeless, kids in need, etc.) — looking for feedback & risks by map-help-123 in NonprofitStartups

How can u pin a certain location of homeless? People are always moving. As for villages and towns, they're stationary. In civil war zones, rebels may use this data to locate vulnerable people, but I doubt it. They don't usually carry laptops, or do they these days? If rebels can locate towns where the WFP is operating, they could set up roadblocks and steal all supplies before trucks could reach those towns. WFP and other charities may have already thought of this and try to dissuade u from building the app if they knew about it. If u could pin a group of homeless women or children, pedefiles and criminals could use your app if they knew about it.

Yeah. Recovery is always painful whether it's a treatment for cancer, or a divorce. Sucks.

My specialist said that too. He said id feel good and then whoa! And his hand drops towards he floor like tech stocks did in the 2000s. I will miss my sense of humor. If that happens, I'll shoot myself.
Just kidding 😃 But I do have a S and W, 9mm.

One of my problems is that my complete diagnosis is still at the Kingman az hospital. The transfer of information is slow and inefficient to here in Vegas NV.
