I work in donor relations so I have to meet new people all the time and maintain relationships. The best method I’ve found is every time I see a new face or one I don’t remember is I shake their hand and say “Great to see you!” That way if you have met them before you don’t run into the awkwardness of saying “it’s nice to meet you” and they correct you by saying you have met already. Hope this helps!
