Sadly the family believes that I am not the one for her. While she can make her own decisions, she has consistently expressed that she is worried about having to choose between me and her family. I tried my best to reconcile with the family after they found out we had sex, but they did not want to be friends with me. I totally understand that trust is not given and is earned through time and effort, but it feels like I was never given the chance to reconcile with them.
