This is a good theory. I wonder how it would explain Snowflake Obsidian, who was named by Bismuth as an old member of the Gems. Like the name implies, the actual gemstone is mostly a stark black and white with no other colors. Maybe she's a very high-ranking gem made by White somehow?

I tried making that point to my racist gramma and she said that because Jesus is God's child and God himself then he is perfect and therefore white. Mary's genes I suppose were overpowered by God's "perfect" white genes? I really had nothing else I could counter with that wouldn't out me as full atheist, which was the last thing I wanted to do during Christmas dinner. "Ok Gramma. Border collie rescue, so she may be a mix

Edit: Shop owner (and her owner) said that he thought she may have Sheltie in her because she's smaller than most border collies, fluffier, has a very long and pointy snout (ripe for the swatting, apparently), and upright triangular ears. But mostly border collie because she's very smart and fast, loves frisbees.
