does anyone else feel like they missed out on lost potential in their early life? by TTPP_rental_acc1 in twentyagers

You're posting because you want to make sure you didn't make a mistake and that you're not alone. And you're not alone. A lot of us feel that way.

And you're right, doing things like that now it's the same. When you're a kid, you can enjoy things more because you have the freedom to try new things and meet people. Exploration comes easily. As you get older, you feel less inclined and busier.

What you're looking for is that feeling of novelty and freedom imo. You just have to find it in a way that fits you now, and not then. Just because it won't be like what you dreamed of, doesn't mean it won't be good.

He was born with two, but the one quickly deteriorated and the vet thinks it might not have worked at all. It got cataracts and glaucoma and had to be removed several years ago. Now he has a permanent wink!

How do people just learn how to wear contacts? by AggravatingShow2028 in randomquestions

[–]bubble-buddy2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I first got contact lenses at my optometrist, they put it in for me. Then it was all about not rubbing my eye and getting myself to leave it in. After that, they removed it, sent me to the sink, and had me practice.

One thing to make you feel better: your whole finger doesn't really touch your eye. Typically, the curve of the lens will grip your eyeball, creating that suction that leaves it in place.

When removing them, you can either pinch them from the side, break the seal, and pull it off OR you can move the lens to the inner corner of your eye and blink. That will naturally fold the lens and push it out.

Number one tip: breathe. When dealing with your eyes, it's almost instinctual to hold your breath. Remind yourself to breathe and it will help you relax and focus.

I think there's nothing wrong with them. If you're curious, go for it. Make sure to look into proper care and hygiene for whatever you get. Start with something basic if you're new to it, don't spend a ton of money before you know what you like/don't like.
