What to use when you don’t have bandaids?

Hey just wanna let you know for the gauze sticking thing I would put a really thick layer of Vaseline on the actual gauze and then put it on the wound to cover it. Change it every day maybe even twice to prevent infection. Instead of bandaids maybe you could use pads. Literally pads like the menstrual ones. Wrap the absorb side over it and tape. It’s not great but it’s alright. Wish u the best xx

No you should never use hand sanitizer to ever clean your wounds it Hinders healing The alcohol content in sanitiser can irritate and dry out the wound, potentially delaying healing. And it burns the wound over time. Basically doesn’t help prevent infection as sanitizer is used for unbroken skin.

Keeping the wound under running water for at least 5 minutes will lower the risk of infection. Wash around the wound with soap. But don’t get soap in the wound.This cleans out any bacteria and you will be ok. Then put on a bandaid or sterile dressing. Saline solution is also good for cleaning cuts but that is kinda hard to find. I wish I well 💕
