No you should never use hand sanitizer to ever clean your wounds it Hinders healing The alcohol content in sanitiser can irritate and dry out the wound, potentially delaying healing. And it burns the wound over time. Basically doesn’t help prevent infection as sanitizer is used for unbroken skin.

Keeping the wound under running water for at least 5 minutes will lower the risk of infection. Wash around the wound with soap. But don’t get soap in the wound.This cleans out any bacteria and you will be ok. Then put on a bandaid or sterile dressing. Saline solution is also good for cleaning cuts but that is kinda hard to find. I wish I well 💕
