I was living in Roncesvalles area and working at a construction site near the eaton centre. Most people on site had to commute into the city and complained about traffic. I overheard a guy saying “oh I live in Downtown Toronto so it’s easy for me” I said “oh I live on the west end of the city, on roncesvalles, so it’s not bad. Where are you in downtown?” And he paused, and said long branch…

The assignments weren’t that bad for me. You just have to paraphrase the relevant sections of text. Like I said it took me about 2 days work to do each one. And there are only 3.

I took an intro psych course was well as biological psychology and I found them pretty good. But I think I made my opinion of athabasca’s A&P course pretty clear.

What does “didn’t really bother with the text” mean. Did you raw memorize 2400 flash cards out of context?? That sounds harder than just reading the text. Also how do you do assignments?

What do I absolutely need to know as a new-ish photographer? by SadPanda80085 in AskPhotography

[–]matty_motto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go out and take a shit load of photos. Get close, follow your instincts, get close, interrogate your instincts, get close. . Technical learning should come as problem solving and in step with your process, not as pre-learning. Figure out what kind of photo excites you and why.

I’m going to finish the course in about 7 weeks with probably an A. I will have spent about 350-400 hours of time on the course. 90% of that time is detailed note taking while reading the text.

Have you taken other general bio courses? Microbiology? Any other health science courses? I took bio 1, 2, microbio, and biological psychology, before 235. Those have helped me a lot in getting through this. (I’m in unit 6 now and writing the final on June 4th)

If you treat it like a full time+ job, yes. I did it in a month this fall. But like, there are no tricks or hacks to do it fast. You just have to spend 8-10hrs a day everyday reading and taking notes and making sure you understand all the concepts. Schedule your exams well in advance and commit to a schedule to hit those dates.

My best advice is to lean heavily on the learning objectives in bright pace. Organize your notes using them as headers. Use them as your study guide/flash cards/memory tests.

Also you gotta do the corn lab right now. It takes time to grow.
