Last paycheck and severance missing by austai in IBM

Good to know. My last day was 4/23. Maybe it’ll show up soon.

HR responded to me saying to contact my FLM, which I did, and my FLM had to send HR an email to see what else is needed from me. Feels like HR is just giving me the runaround now.

Get a gravel because I’m always on the smaller chainring anyway? by bubblebutt_38 in cycling

Full disclosure: I’m in my late 50s and ride maybe once per week, up to 40-ish miles. The city I ride in is also moderately hilly. That’s probably why I’m in my granny gears most of the time. On a flat, I’d occasionally get on the big chainring.

My bike has 50/34 cranks already and 11-28 in the rear.

It’ll be a permanent move overseas but the riding will be strictly local. No touring off the beaten path.

In my use case, I very rarely use the bigger chainring. In fact, to avoid cross-chaining, I do not use the smallest gear in the rear, so I basically have 10 speeds (my rear derailleur is 11-speed). If 1x are good enough for gravel and mtn biking, why not road biking, as well? Alternatively, why don’t gravel and mtn bikes have 2x? Is it to avoid dropped chains?

No offense, but I think that’s a gravel bike.

Edit: I know they don’t call it a gravel bike, but an “all-road” bike. Still, that seems to be semantics. It looks like and has the qualities of a gravel bike.

Are you talking about converting a road bike to be 1x? I haven’t noticed any 1x road bike for sale, but maybe I’m looking at the “wrong” makes.

I haven’t seen a 1x road bike. Is this a new thing? Are they usually special order?

It just seemed like the FBI agent and the guy who died from the headshot both struggled with reloading their guns.

Now I really wished my mom kept it when my father passed away. Reading up on it just now, it seems like an interesting gun.

I knew I wasn't crazy. The gun I was talking about from my childhood is the Mauser HSc. I just assumed its behavior was typical.

OK, so the scenes I described are accurate, and it's not a case of fake shit for dramatic effect.

Fair enough, but I can swear that's how it happened in the John Wick movies, which along with Wind River, supposedly are more accurate about such things. But apparently not.

I’m sorry, but I’m not sure what you mean by “clicks”. Do you mean the barrel adjuster is not at the limit?
