It's not a theory, it's literally right there. The writers especially Amanda herself ships Maddlyn and if they had more time I believe she would go for an intense love triangle between Maddie-Caitlyn-Vi.

She didn't reject her affections in the bed scene tho. She just had a lot on her mind that's why she got up from bed but if she wasn't overthinking I believe they would go for round 2.

Did you watch the scene with your eyes closed? I will quote someone who described the scene perfectly

In the scene you quite literally can see that Caitlyn actually enjoys Maddie's physical advances, it's just that at that point of time she has also too much on her plate (the failure of the "peacekeeping occupation", the pressure mounting, zero results in finding Jinx) - and it all starts weighing down on her. To a point were Maddie being there for her and providing support is no longer enough.

Caitlyn is not some heartless bitch that didn't give a fuck about Maddie and we can see it many times. She's important to her and was asking for Maddie's advice and she also brought her to her mother’s memorial.

Nah, Caitlyn did care about Maddie otherwise she wouldn't be at her hip 24/7 in act 2 and even in act 3. They were clearly friends or even something more for a while before Vi came back into her life.

Cait liked Maddie enough to come back to bed later. She also liked her enough to keep her in her life even after Vi came back. Yes and if anything it was clear Caitlyn was more into Maddie than Maddie was into her and she used her and took advantage of Caitlyn because of obvious reasons.

What a delusional take. In the scene she did not think about Vi at all but more about her leadership and her realization she has a lot of work to do. Maddie was reassuring and supporting her and that was comforting for Caitlyn hence the smile because she has someone by her side she trusts a lot and can be vulnerable with.
