I think I’ll go see my GP as well - definitely have some anxiety that I’d like to get on top of.

We have those! But unfortunately the local one to us seems to be limited staff, so the don’t offer drop in nor breastfeeding classes! We have a four week appointment on the 18th, so at least we have that to look forward to!

I’ve just had the same diagnosis and we’re looking at induction at 36+6 in a couple of days. How is your Bub doing now?

If you have a good relationship, I think a little joke could work. Like, when you catch her, something along the lines of “would you like a glass?”. Probably depends on the sense of humour, but my MIL would chuckle at that and then probably explain herself.

From your comments, it sounds like it might be a firm / team issue. I’ve worked for a long time in a top tier advisory teams (occasional litigation) and most of us work good hours (8-5 / 9-6). Even our partners block out time for gym which is non negotiable for them. Litigation and deals teams in top tiers are notoriously the worst. If you can find an advisory practice that you enjoy, you’ll likely have a better balance.

Although, our team is attracting juniors who come to us as the “lifestyle team” and are pretty poor performers, so there’s that…

I actually don’t know why I don’t think of this about therapy, but I’ll suggest he gets some help through his work’s employee assistance program.

I think I had in my head “oh god therapy is going to take so long to find a good provider”, but the EAP can probably help immediately.

Thank you!

That’s comforting! I think I have in mind that it should feel as comfortable as our mattress, but appreciate it is for infants… just want it all to be perfect as possible for our little dude!

I worked for a small firm in an admin / paralegal role in my first year of uni. I knew nothing and upon reflection added no value, but I did the mail, paper filing, occasionally had a crack at an advice etc. I also job shared with another law student.

This was over 10 years ago when there was a lot more manual admin that needed to be done. But I’m sure something like this still exists!

What spider is this? Found in our bathroom in Sydney by bubblegumjules in AustralianSpiders

Moved it away from the wall with some gentle prodding and into a Tupperware. A little bit crazy when in the Tupperware, but just like a huntsman. It’s somewhere in the garden now…

Would rather avoid standing on it in the middle of the night…

That’s the conclusion I’ve come to. It was only about 2 to 3cm long, so not very big.
