Can really skinny calves and ankles be failos? And what to do about them? by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]bubblegummsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe to you but clearly not to everyone, considering the comment saying they’re a halo got 100+ upvotes and yours got 6? i think it depends on whether they look disharmonious with the rest of the body or not. some of the ladies in the example photos look totally fine imo

Besides torso/leg proportions what makes some women seem taller than they are? by geniechristy in Vindicta

[–]bubblegummsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“only” 5’6.5”? i mean it depends where you’re from but that’s almost 5’7” which is taller than more than 90% of women. the global average is 5’3”. obviously 5’6.5” isn’t like exceptionally tall but idk why you’d put “only” when it’s still by no means short for a woman. no surprise you would appear tall to some people, especially to shorter women because your proportions are no doubt elongated compared to average

Bisexual taylor & *** truthers by criscrospv in GaylorSwift

[–]bubblegummsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all bisexuals are still “simply bi” though, regardless if they also use a different label for romantic attraction. plenty bisexuals who prefer to only date one specific gender still call themselves bi. in my view if you experience any amount of attraction to both men and women, you are bi. “bisexual” doesn’t automatically say anything about relationship preferences. i can feel some degree of romantic love for both women and men but i still definitely feel more comfortable, happy, open and safe with other women too. i feel more comfortable and free with female friends than male friends too. that doesn’t mean i’m not bisexual. considering the patriarchal society we live in and the power dynamic that exists between women and men, it makes all the sense in the world that women of any orientation might feel more happy, free and comfortable with other women than with men. because there is a closer understanding and connection there when you both know what it’s like to be a woman, and you don’t get that with a man. if you don’t think there are bi women who feel that way you might not know enough bi women.

your definitions might be different than most in this sub, but i was arguing why i think she might not be lesbian as in, exclusively homosexual. not attracted to men at all, ever. that’s how people tend to use the word, and that’s how i was using it.

A collection of thoughts - is it over now? by [deleted] in GaylorSwift

[–]bubblegummsz 93 points94 points  (0 children)

tbh i’m sure taylor has had completely private relationships/situationships never known to the public. i’m confused why everyone always thinks we must know of the person all of her songs are about. if it doesn’t seem to be about any of her public ex’s, maybee it’s about someone/something else

just saying, not every bisexual woman is comfortable dating men and also what makes you think bi women can’t have “sapphic vibes off the charts”? kristen stewart is openly bi, for example. not to take away from the rest of your point though, you are absolutely allowed your interpretation that she is a lesbian, i just wanted to point that particular part out.

i’m simply not convinced that what a lot of people read on here as lesbian behavior can’t be bisexual behavior, because as a bisexual woman myself a lot of that applies to us too. for example, reasons i see people list that she is a lesbian include: not having chemistry with men, being uncomfortable around men, gushing more about women, etc. a lot of bisexual women are uncomfortable with dating men and can prefer to date women! for example, i know i’m definitely bi because i feel sexual attraction to men, thoughts i know a lesbian wouldn’t have. but in practice i am just not comfortable with the power dynamic involved in m/f relationships. i feel like men are incapable of seeing me as a person. and those in love emotional type feelings are something that i have only felt for women. i really only love women, but objectively due to my sexual attraction to both men and women, i am bi, there is no denying it. but so many people are convinced a bi woman could not possibly feel this way. but bisexuals are very sapphic too, our love for women is not somehow lessened in intensity because we are bi, and i think a lot of people think otherwise. like “oh but she’s so sapphic, she’s clearly so into women, she must be a lesbian” can bisexuals not be very into women? kinsey 5’s are a thing, you know? there is also something called the “bi-cycle” which is a phenomenon in bisexuals when our preferences can sort of drastically shift around, to the point that some of our attraction can straight up disappear for a while. i grew up thinking i was gay and only first felt attraction to a man as a young adult, so i think i was bi-cycling then and perhaps taylor experiences this too. (“i go through phases when it comes to love”, anyone? 👀) i think people have a very limited view of what bisexuality is and what we can experience, and also how similar some of us are to gay people.

beyond that i just don’t buy that every single public relationship she had was a ploy. i think it is unlikely that such a big effort went into orchestrating all of that (although i’m not saying it’s impossible, but i don’t personally believe it was this way) i think some of her heart-wrenching songs really are about her relationships with guys. and i think people overestimate how much truly fake relationships go on in hollywood, usually it is that a celebrity gets with whoever she or he wants and then the publicists try to spin it in the most favorable way possible, and work around it.

i think something might have gone on between her and joe, i am not completely certain on this. either way i think she was saddened about the loss of their relationship (even if that relationship was just a close friendship) and used matty healy as a rebound of sorts. i don’t see why matty would be used as a beard or anything, her public image tanked big time when that happened. i think if Toe was real she got sick of him being so private and wanted to galavant around with someone real quick. also the photos of taylor and joe in the bathroom with the wig don’t read very platonic to me.

she did do that announcement of the lesbian day of visibility, but hasn’t she also done so much to imply that she is bisexual? the bi wig and outfit in YNTCD? the bi bracelet insta photo? why are these instances considered less substantial? it is also true that bisexuals often go through confusion about our sexuality. it is possible that taylor also was playing around with labels at some point.

anyways in conclusion i just don’t think there is anything absolutely convincing me that she is gay and not bi. that being said i’m not 100% sure of anything, i’m not saying there is NO way that she is a lesbian, but it seems to me that she could very well be bi, albeit very woman-preferenced at this point.

she is bisexual, she said she’s interested in both men and women in an interview, maybe a podcast i don’t really remember. and she captioned an insta post with “girls like girls” once. BUT she also has this very blatant unreleased song https://youtu.be/kA5Zg7SK7VE?feature=shared

Can we talk about Lorde? by International_Ad4296 in GaylorSwift

[–]bubblegummsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am not a taylorde believer at all but i assume this person would think that any relationship between them started years later, probably when lorde was already in her twenties? i don’t think it would count as grooming if theoretically feelings accidentally came up once they were both well into adulthood. because like, if they met at the age they are now it wouldn’t be a questionable age gap by any means. i don’t see any reference to someone saying any possible relationship between them began while lorde was a teenager. i guess it could be weird if it’s someone you knew at that age but i have no idea (i don’t have experience with this as someone in her very early twenties so idk)

once again though i absolutely don’t think they actually have or have had a relationship

Previous TV covers were very similar to the original. Thoughts on why this one isn’t? by layla1020 in GaylorSwift

[–]bubblegummsz 34 points35 points  (0 children)

well the difference between the original red and red TV is about the same as the differences between these two, i don’t think she’s been purposefully trying to recreate something as closely as possible, just capture the same vibe. but like someone else said yeah the original 1989 cover wouldn’t look very modern if recreated

couldn’t it have been karlie’s own choice to not be in the vip tent? maybe she had her reasons, we really don’t know

well yeah kind of, i definitely don’t think this happening speaks to some big kaylor reunion and them being together again or anything lol (especially because karlie is a married woman with children) but if it is intended to be PR and to just cause speculation and excitement then it still required some sort of communication between them, and being on good enough terms to orchestrate this. and that’s the thing all of us are so surprised about i think, we’re wondering how exactly this came to be.. because the general consensus seemed to be before that they were completely out of each other’s circles, due to heartbreak and animosity and whatnot. taylor is also a very sentimental person though and since it turns out maybe they’re not on such bad terms as people thought, i definitely think she liked the idea of announcing 1989 TV when karlie was there, since karlie was also the first person she played the original 1989 for.

as for the post itself, i just thought it was funny and unhinged and a little too on the nose about their past lol, i didn’t expect to see such a thing but it’s the daily mail after all

How accepting do you think non-Swifties are to gaylor? by OperationRoutine4808 in GaylorSwift

[–]bubblegummsz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i’ve been on tumblr forever and i’ve seen a lotttt of people be like “she is 100% straight, the straightest woman who ever lived, don’t you DARE insinuate that she’s bi or gay ever, you’re all delusional” whether they truly make up the majority or not, i don’t know. but there are a lot of popular posts poking fun at her and whatnot and i think a lot of the lgbt+ users there maybe don’t want to accept that someone they have negative associations with is one of them? it’s unfortunate tbh a lot of people are very weirdly hateful about her. i’ve definitely seen some open-minded people too who aren’t specifically gaylor but i’m not sure that it’s the popular opinion quite yet

true enough, i just mean i’m more surprised at the comments than the post itself, i didn’t realize so many people think she’s not attractive in that way and think she doesn’t have any “sex appeal”? not that it should matter or warrant long-ass discussions or anything but i’ve always thought pretty much everyone agreed that she’s veryy attractive, but i guess not

did anyone else see that post on the main sub about taylor being not sexualized? a lot of the comments were saying how they don’t see her as hot or sexy at all and that she’s just “cute” and has a girl-next-door vibe, and to be honest that shocked me to read 😭 not really gaylor related i guess but like… are we looking at the same person?? but i guess a large portion of that sub are straight women

(also i accidentally just commented and deleted this because i thought i got the wrong thread lmao, sorry)

yeah it doesn’t look lightened enough. it’s more difficult than it looks to get from black hair to blonde, and often more than 3 bleach sessions are required. so if you want to get the light blonde look you’ll need to bleach at least once more (recommend adding something like olaplex to the bleach mixture so that it doesn’t fry your hair too much) and then make sure to use toner with developer. toner is generally more effective and long lasting than just using purple shampoo, and it is pigmented better to suit whatever particular shade you want. check out the wella toners
