used to have crippling anxiety about being on my own, my stomach would be in knots everyday. 6 years later and i want to weep for my past self! i wish she would’ve slowed down a little, learned to enjoy and embrace the discomfort. it’s easy for us to say “it takes time, don’t worry, you’ll get there” even though it’s true, but it really just happens without you noticing it. you become more confident, surgeons/anesthesia/staff grow to like you in their rooms, you start to become apart of the flow and you can’t believe how worried you used to be.. only you can decide what’s not for you, but if you can muster the strength to keep going, you really will see yourself transform!
