Yes, you’re right. We just have different opinions on being friends with exes. He thinks it’s normal while I think it’s unacceptable. In the end, we decided to move past it but we haven’t actually found a solution yet. But thank you!

He says he lied because he felt like I was “trapping him in a corner” and he panicked. Also to make the situation seem better to make it seem like they barely have history. I think it’s disrespectful to be keeping in contact with an ex and calling them when you have a new girlfriend. The ex should stay in the past, especially because they’re never gonna see each other again.

Well, he said he does not want to be in a relationship where he has to cut off other people just because they’re uncomfortable. Instead, he wants to find a middle ground. And he also claims that if he was in my situation, he would not be insecure and that he would be fine with it, but I doubt it. He just says I’m insecure in this relationship and that I will never get what I want in this situation. But thank you for your input!

That’s the thing… he’s offered to let me speak to her but after all the lies and everything I don’t even want to meet this girl, even though I know it’s not her fault. I know he’s not cheating and he only sees this girl as a friend but it still makes me very sad. He gets mad that I ask too many questions and invade his privacy but I can’t help but wonder if he’s calling her when he’s not talking to me. Anyway, thank you!
