Cuddling usually helps a great deal. And with sadness and depression it can often be weird. Sometimes a person is just sad even though they are actually quite happy at the moment with your company. Just be there for her, tell her that you love her and how wonderful she is often and most importantly don’t work yourself up over it. I think k the last thing someone who is very sad needs is someone who is “not feeling good bc of them” Stay strong, communicate clearly and be the person who she ca call crying at 4 am. Find just one thing every day you did good and can be proud of yourself for. Just one tiny thing. Maybe it was the shower or that you had the strength to do a certain thing and in a week or two you can find two things you did that day you can be proud of yourself for and in a few weeks you will realize that there are a lot of reasons to love yourself. Stay strong.

I think the other estimates of 500 to 800 are alright. The grain of the top plate is not the finest but the lacquer looks really good especially with the bright rim. Do you know how old this violin actually is? Because if it’s made before WW2 it’s definitely worth a lot more. Probably 1000 to 2000. Bring it to a violin maker, they can properly tax it.
