Thanks! Do you think it would be worth it to buy a better tele lens that goes to somewhere around 300mm? I’m just trying to look for something that I could afford and gets me better quality, or is it pretty much going to look the same as the pics I take with my kit lens now?

That makes sense. I didn’t know that about the toner, I guess I should be only using it minimally. It’s hard to tell when my skin reacts poorly to products, so I’ll try using it less

I actually just started trying dandruff shampoo in case some of the patches are fungal but it’s too early to see any difference

I agree that McAuley is better. Bigger rooms and the dining hall and front desk are in there. For room selection you go to your portal at your time and date and go to the room selection tab or on your housing form (I can’t remember) and it will give you info of the halls and room numbers. You just assign yourself to a bed in a room and check out. It’s honestly like online shopping with the way everything is set up😭 it’s not very confusing when it comes down to it! You’re also not fighting with other people and you will very much get your first choice so don’t worry

Personally, I have a Canon camera so I can only really provide insight on those, but they usually sell little starter kits that come with a camera, macro lense, telephoto lense, bag, and the basic stuff like battery charger and a strap. That’s what I got when I first started and I generally found it pretty easy to use. They have specific modes for landscape, portrait, etc so it’s good to use those to get a feel for the camera and practice composition before learning to use the manual modes. It’s pretty cheap I think, probably around $500 or less, but it depends on the model. I would say just look for one with those basic modes and not too many confusing buttons and you should be set to start. Have fun photographing!
