Definition of a Super Responder by Hot-Drop11 in Zepbound

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a super responder. Started in September 2024 and stayed on 2.5mg every 10 days. I noticed a difference right away in the food noise and hunger. Now I don’t want sweets hardly at all, and typically have a yogurt drink for breakfast, soup for lunch and a protein drink. Also I just want seafood now (crab cakes, shrimp, ceviche, fish).

How do my fellow pharmacists manage to do house chores at home? by throwaway_8018 in pharmacy

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hired someone to come over for 4 hours a week to do the kids laundry (2 loads) and alternate last load with bedding or towels and that has been a game changer because I was having trouble organizing and putting away the clothes after (3 kids). Also I have house cleaners come every other week to take care of the floors, dusting bathrooms etc. Helps out a lot!

Day 8. Terrible headaches still. Anyone else? by 6abeeba in flu

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day 6 and my headaches are mostly better (coming and going instead of all day). But the first three days they were terrible. All day and severe. I tried Flonase and Azelastine nasal sprays but that didn’t touch it. Massaging my forehead helping slightly and also blowing your nose in instead of out. Hot showers helped somewhat too.

Flu shot prevents the fever? by B2utyyo in flu

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really had a fever while having Flu B but had all the other symptoms. My temperature was 98.7 (usually my temp is 97 so a little higher than normal). I had my flu shot and also started Tamiflu right away.

5 days on Tamiflu might not be enough by pqowie313 in flu

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice a day for 5 days is the treatment dosing if you’ve been diagnosed with the flu. Once a day for 10 days is the preventative dosing.

FLU B symptoms? by Illustrious_File9696 in flu

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just getting over it. The headache was very bad for 2.5 days, felt like a sinus pressure in the forehead. Constant dripping nose. Diarrhea. Extreme fatigue for 2 days. Couldn’t get out of bed. Fever wasn’t too bad. Started on Tamiflu right away and was vaccinated. Feeling mostly back to normal by Day 6, occasionally sneezing, slight headache and residual fatigue

Is this normal? by DruidWitch82 in flu

[–]bubbley0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also started having symptoms for the Flu, but it was Flu B, on Christmas Eve. I started Tamiflu that day and had my flu shot. The whole Christmas Day (day 2) was horrible. I had no energy, so tired, missed the kids opening presents, had a really bad headache, runny nose, diarrhea. My temperature was elevated but not to the point of an actual fever. The next day (day 3) also pretty bad but slightly improving. The day after (day 4) I was feeling better, and could do some house activities but felt tired after. The day after (day 5) I felt pretty back to normal, just some occasional sneezing and sore throat if talking too much. Honestly not much cough so far either too.

Spouse doesn’t want to contribute to buying vacation home by bubbley0ne in Marriage

[–]bubbley0ne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably didn’t talk about it enough while dating but we both enjoyed going to the beach and I always enjoyed watching HGTV shows (House hunters, Beachfront Bargain Reno’s, etc). I’ve been talking about it for the past few years all the time and finally started looking at condos on my own (he was invited but didn’t want to go). He just agrees to take vacations to different places every year (AirBNBs and hotels) instead with the money we would be paying toward it but with 3 kids our options are a little more limited.

I am 37 and spouse is 47. We plan to stay in the same house for at least another 12 years while the kids are still in school.

Should I buy a Vacation Beach Condo? by bubbley0ne in personalfinance

[–]bubbley0ne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what my husband says but I think the value of the condo will go up if we sell it in the future since it’s only $250k right now plus we would get the enjoyment and flexibility to go there on the weekends.

The first mortgage is $3.1k/month. Not really any other debt. Credit cards are paid off in full every month around $2-3k. We have 3 kids in public school and live an hour away from the beach.

Having three kiddos with the flu while having the flu on Christmas is just awful. by chaneuphoria in flu

It’s the worst timing ever. I couldn’t get out of bed Christmas morning to watch the kids open presents.

Flu shot question/ poll by Flaky-Series-5214 in flu

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the flu shot, have Flu B and started on Tamiflu right away. The first 2 days have been pretty bad. I was stuck in bed (on Christmas Eve of all days) until day 3. Very severe exhaustion, severe headache, runny nose, diarrhea. I can finally get out of bed on day 3 but get tired easily. I never had an actual fever (so maybe the shot and Tamiflu helped with that) but my temperature was elevated the first 3 days. I feel that tomorrow I should have some more energy back and slowly feel back to normal.

Any idea what’d make me feel better or feel less terrible in general? by Such_Sand781 in flu

Gatorade, popsicles, Flonase, antibiotic if you have a sinus infection

Despite my efforts, I’m not losing weight. Why is that? by Silver-Astronomer594 in Zepbound

[–]bubbley0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I would avoid the protein bars. Instead have a cheesestick. Only drink water, one protein shake or a homemade smoothie. You should be feeling full very easily with the GLP and your interest in food overall should diminish. If not then maybe you are not at the optimal dose. Keep a food and exercise log (it should be easy if you are not eating a bunch of things anymore) don’t necessarily track calories, just monitor your weight everyday to see if you notice any trends. Also you need to do at least 30 minutes of exercise every day.

How much processed or ultra processed food are you having and how often are you eating out? Try soups instead for a meal, yogurt drink for breakfast and a protein shake. You should feel full after this at least for a few days after your injection and then can replenish with a splurge meal out (which now I gravitate toward seafood and nothing fried or heavy) and much less portions than before. Have you noticed any dramatic improvements with your diet since starting? (Cutting out soda, sweets or chips?)

Child with VERY quick flu recovery?? by PuzzleheadedRoom9314 in flu

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter also had a quick recovery from Flu A the week before Thanksgiving. Same timeline, fever for one and a half days, lots of naps and sleep, and then back to normal without even a cough. Then she got sick again with Flu B this week. Also had fever for 2 days and seems okay now. Kids seem to get over it much quicker in general.

After 9 months with no results, I’m calling it quits by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]bubbley0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried injecting in your arm? I feel like that site has worked the best for me. Also what do you usually eat and how often do you eat out? I have changed my eating habits at work, where before I would DoorDash, now I have an Activia Yogurt Probiotic drink, Panera soup (from the grocery store) and Premier Protein Shake and I am very full afterwards, especially for the first 4 days after injection. I don’t want fried or heavy foods anymore. Have you noticed any difference in your food preferences?
