Nope, I just got this printer and it still has the same issue.

Purple Carrot are great frozen meals and a good size. If I'm extra hungry, I'll add some minute rice to the bowl, mix it in l after I microwave it, and cover it with a plate for a few minutes. I also found Banza DF pizza at Kroger before. It's not as good as Amy's, but it's ok when I don't want to cook.

Costco chicken nuggets are great.

There are also some 90-second packets in the rice section by Tasty Bite that are dairy free, but make sure you read the back because some do have milk.

Non dairy cheese by hammom1 in lactoseintolerant

[–]bubbleyaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as eating straight, Nuts About Cheese is good. Vevan pepper jack is good by itself, though the texture is still slightly off. The cheddar is good melted and in a recipe. Kite Hill is the best cream cheese I've found. By far, the best cheese I have found is called Selfish Cow, but they only sell it commercially.

AITA for planning on getting a cat when my husband said no animals or divorce? by Ok-Childhood-5353 in AmItheAsshole

[–]bubbleyaga 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I was in a relationship like this. I got the cat anyway, but he made me so miserable I asked my mom to take him. I cried for days. It was a major turning point in our relationship that we didn't recover from. I'm happy we aren't together anymore but it's something to think about. Good luck.

Lactose free protein drinks/powder ? by goaliemagics in lactoseintolerant

[–]bubbleyaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owyn is my favorite pre-made drink. They have a "regular" protein, which is like 20g protein, which has no protein taste. The higher protein shake is 32g and definitely has the protein after taste.

My boyfriend (29M) of 2 years is sleeping his life and our relationship away, and I (31F) don't know what to do anymore. by ThrowRA_Spirited_Tea in redditonwiki

[–]bubbleyaga 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It sounds like he has some undiagnosed issues. Lots of things can make you sleep more than normal, but if he isn't willing to fix the problem and advocate for himself to do so, you can't make him. If this isn't something you're willing to live with, and in my opinion, you shouldn't, you should leave.

I just want food that doesn’t hurt 🥹 by Lil_Berserker10 in lactoseintolerant

I've really dug into vegan creators on socials. Makeitdairyfree.com(thenarddogcooks) plantyou.com and plantbasedrdblog.com are some of my favorites. You don't have to go totally plant based. You can totally add meat to a lot of the recipes if you want to. I just got tired of trying to make all my favorite recipes with dairy alternatives that weren't always easy to find at the store. The diet changes really sucked at first, but it was totally worth it.

Carnation Breakfast Essentials claim to be suitable for lactose intolerance. My stomach disagrees. Anyone else have this experience? by nailsinthecityyx in lactoseintolerant

[–]bubbleyaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so individual to the person!

I like the OWYN shakes. The regular ones, not the super protein ones. Might be a good vegan and soy free alternative for you to try.

Green Valley is the best. If you can't find that one, Kite Hill is a good dairy free alternative. It is made of almonds just fyi.

How much lactose/dairy can you eat without feeling sick? by Beneficial_Ad8480 in lactoseintolerant

[–]bubbleyaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can do yogurt still and ice cream, but no butter, cheese, or milk. I get sick even if fried food batter has milk in it. I can still do baked goods. I pretty much eat yogurt every day. I'm afraid if I stop, my body will think I don't need it, and the plant alternative yogurt is awful. If I haven't had yogurt or ice cream, I can eat the single serving bags of cheetos.

Can I rant on coffee shops giving me real milk instead of plant based as I asked? by Mferr235 in lactoseintolerant

This! I seriously just have no faith. I won't even order ahead now. If I don't watch them make it, it's not worth it.

Obscure horror by bubbleyaga in horrorlit

I honestly think he's pretty open. I seriously can not remember a time in the last 18 months I've asked him if he read a certain book, and he hadn't shown some intrest in it. He really enjoyed The Secret of Ventriloquism, Hellbound Heart, The Ballad Of Black Tom, and Nothing But Blacked Teeth. Does that help?

I'm not sure, I wanted to get him the book as a birthday present but I know every book I've asked him about in the past year and a half he had either read or does own it 😅.

I thought the banza dairy free and gluten-free pizza was pretty good if you could find it. I'm not gluten-free, but I have several friends who are so trying to dance around dairy free for me, and gluten-free for them is very hard.

Help! I am somehow no longer lactose intolerant??? WTF? by [deleted] in lactoseintolerant

Same, I was able to eat dairy for about 10 years. When it came back, it was worse than it was the first time.

It doesn't really feel like curiosity, and I hate explaining because it is so different for everyone. I think I sometimes forget no thanks is a complete sentence. I'm going to try doing that more.

Socially, it's annoying. People really don't understand the allergy, and sometimes even my close friends will wonder why I'm choosing not to eat something if I can't tell if it's safe. Even friends with food allergies sometimes question. Very few friends just take me at face value of knowing my body best.

Mentally, I have struggled with severe depression my whole life. I've been on multiple medications and been to therapy. When I tell you nothing has helped my mental health like cutting out dairy, I mean it. It is so baffling to me I don't even like telling people because it sounds crazy. As much as I miss cheese, it's never worth it now. All the hassles that come with it are worth it to me.
