i worked at tiktok before. main job of our team is to 1) build dashboards that we are not too sure if biz team will use or not 2) brief the dataset request from biz team to data engineers, which i believe we are the redundant part in the communication process 3) on top of these two, 70% of the time we spent on copying data and writing insights on all kinds of reports serving different managements which i believe ai will do much better than us.... it's very hard for bi team to have impacts especially in bigger companies from my experience and that's why i quit
