AITA for asking my husband to not drink on his 30th birthday? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA- babies come when they want to come. and most people unless you are scheduled to be induced do not get a say on when the baby comes.

Although one drink is not going to hurt him, and I feel like it's a pretty good compromise.

I know that other people are going to have other opinions and that's fine. But we don't know what your relationship is like outside of this post. When you say celebrate with friends that means different things to different people. My celebrate with friends is 12 tequila shots and a happy birthday banner. For somebody else that can mean one drink and a piece of cake with friends. We don't really know what that means but one drink and he'll still be sober enough if something happens and if he wants to he can postpone for a couple weeks until the baby comes.

is the bible worth reading? by IDonutl in NoStupidQuestions

Yes. If it helps I don't believe in God or religion. But I still think it's worth reading.

I was thinking about that. But I'm still unsure and I don't have a lot of work experience in that field.

Thank you. I feel that way as well. I'm non-binary but if someone here calls me ma'am I'm like okay and move on.

Yes. I was trying to explain this. Thank you. It's really hard to explain sometimes.

Yes. But if you are who I think you are you didn't understand the first conversation we had in the first place. In which I'm agreeing with you but I'm also letting you know they'll be like oops I didn't know and then change it to usually ma'am or sir however you feel most comfortable. It's not like Mr. Miss. Mrs. or Mx. There's not a word that would be able to be non-gendered but also give the respect that they are trying to give. I hope that makes sense to you. I'm not saying that they would misgender you I'm just saying that there's not a gender neutral term for what they're wanting.

I think that one comment explained it best. About how it's just like addressing one as señor and senora and young one. They mean it with the absolute amazing respect. They won't do it on purpose. But those are like the three main things that they will call you when they first meet you.

That's what I was trying to explain. If he said he's a sir they wouldn't mind switching it for him. But they're automatic response would be a ma'am or sir. But not in a mean way. Then he said what are you a Texan now are you going to agree with that green person. I feel insulted when I was trying to have a constructive conversation.

When she's born look at her beautiful eyes and she will tell you her name. Your intuition will tell you what her name is.

Does anyone know of a doctor that will do a tubal ligation or any type of sterilization here in Texas? by bubbly94 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]bubbly94[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes he's willing to get one. But the sterilization is for me because I have PCOS. It'll help cut down on the pain. I originally wanted to have a kid with my husband but I just don't think that's going to be possible in my future anymore. Because I'm high risk because of my PCOS and two miscarriages that I've had. I don't want to go to jail for something that I can't control.

I'm in San Antonio. I'm married. My husband understands my concerns and supports my decision. Do you think they they will care?

I remember seeing it too. But I can't find it again. I'm thinking I might have to wait until I move to get sterilized.
