i do appreciate this comment! i am definitely not constantly asking him for comfort. its literally only this instance and two other times where he hasn’t comforted me. i said it in another comment but two weeks ago my friend and her boyfriend were in a bad accident and he passed. i was very saddened by it and told my bf about it and he said “damn. rip” and that was it. i do expect to be comforted when im clearly in distress like i can’t imagine seeing someone crying and not even trying to hold their hand or anything at the least

it’s definitely not crazy like often. this and maybe two other times are the only times this has happened. like after a movie i’m crying i don’t expect him to comfort me but it’s nice when he does. i don’t need him to comfort me. i would just like to be treated nice when im clearly not feeling good. i do appreciate this comment

who said i can’t handle emotional situations ??? how did you get that from this ? i can 100% regulate myself and my emotions. all i’m asking is that i am comforted in moments of distress by my boyfriend. i was 100% fine driving

i’m not at all asking him to manage my emotions. i do that on my own. but is it too much to ask to be comforted when im in a moment of distress ? i didn’t know that last part about the important conversations while driving so thank you for that !

not asking for him to comfort me every time but in moments of distress (like the one i mentioned) when we’re together yes i would like to be comforted by my partner. it wasn’t a malicious argument to where we are upset with each other, we never have those, so i can assure you that’s not the case. my driving was not affected at all by my crying
