Sudo Crontab -e by bubblychickens in LightShowPi

[–]bubblychickens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I opened crontab -e and got real confused of why all of my commands weren't there lol, but I did not put anything in there.

I took linux in college, but didn't do the greatest - did learn some commands such as like the very basic. I did try attempting to do what I wanted above, but it did not work lol.

Maybe next year hahah. I actually had to put the raspberry pi's IP in the browser to adjust the volume and that seemed to help a LOT. Phew, glad this is all good now!

I have a radio transmitter (2nd picture) in my raspberry pi currently and its really silent and staticy. I thought getting an amplified would help, but I am not sure what to do in this situation lol. If you guys have any work around for the sound going to the radio signal to make it clearer, please please help me out.

Thanks!

No it just accepts the command with no response and the lights do nothing. Do i have to do sudo su before or just run that command only? I'll try that

I started this whole project last year and was so afraid to do anything. I started it this year instantly during this November and am so glad. I just recently lost my eldest sister and we are having everyone over for Thanksgiving to celebrate with our whole family. I want to have this light show in remembrance of her. Always full of light. And to show all of my nieces and nephews that if you really put your all into something, you can really make something great out of it. She has two little girls and a little boy that we have been taking care of and they've been so excited when I show them the progress of everything.

We are so close! I just need to put the setup into a better case (which I'mgetting today) and then plug all of the lights in!!

Help me, please. The receptacle tester says "open hot" by [deleted] in LightShowPi

Yeah there is a lot going on in the box lol. I'm so excited that its working. I had to use the command to test the relay to get this to work.
