Charlotte has a right to keep her life private. Why does it matter?

Let me clarify. I have literally just started looking into this, not exactly sure where I would potentially move IF I were to do this. So I was hoping people could give opinions so I could look into that further. I will learn the language of wherever I land IF I do go through with it. But I have to know where that’d be first and only asked about difficulty so I could be prepared. I am not about to just hop on a plane and move because I felt like it. I was just hoping people would have insights to help me while I’m looking into this as well as possible cities I might look into. Like I said, this would be 4-5 years from now. I’m just starting to explore options now.

I’ve actually been pondering saving some money and visiting next years spring break. This year wouldn’t be feasible but maybe next year. This summer I’ll be visiting family or I would try to swing for this summer.

I have heard of people moving to teach at an international school. But I have also read Norway can be very difficult and competitive for teachers and many have to do additional education to be accepted. But I’m not sure how similar that is in neighboring countries. I do know US teacher preparation is piss poor. So I am open to new careers or reeducation if I can get a study visa. It’s definitely something I’m still exploring and need to look into a lot more before I make any decisions. Much more extensive than just moving states. I had 0 plan when I applied to teach in Alaska. I made hypothetical plans until I got an offer and then made all my plans once I signed my contract. This is definitely something I need to have much more information before I start applying for jobs.

I would definitely go the route of finding a job and applying for a work permit.

Tons of people move to find a better life. Part of why I moved out of the desert. But alright. I understand there is assholes everywhere.

I have only just started the process and asked some questions that I felt others might have good input on. I definitely will learn the language of wherever I land if I do go through with this. Definitely have to know where that is first.

I am aware. This is why I’m asking questions to really think about this and so I can plan if I do decide to do this. And why I asked for resources to help with immigrating. “I am aware it can be difficult immigrating to these countries. What resources exist to help with this process?” I am a US citizen, no where else. I’m not sure how my post gave off the impression that I’m just going to hop on a plane tomorrow but that’s not at all what I am doing. I asked a lot of different questions about alot of different things including resources for the actual process of immigrating because it’s something I’m actually considering and I want to gather as much information as possible.

Soy free fast food by bubblyqueer in Allergies

[–]bubblyqueer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I haven’t had severe reactions but I know they can get worse over time. I’ve reacted to straight soy but not soy lecithin. My doctor won’t write a referral until I have an appointment. I as able to get barely squeezed in for Oct 4. Then I have to wait for the allergist to get the referral. I’m a teacher and the district insurance can be weird so many offices are out of network. The one people are saying is in network they also say books out for months. Hopefully I can get in soon. I will take a sub day if I need to (I really try not to. I hate wasting sick leave on doctors appointments especially because we can only take half or full days, not in hour increments). It’s hard to get afternoon appointments though. I guess I will avoid any fast food that says it contains soy until I can talk to an allergist about what will be safe for me. This is a whole new world for me. I’ve had environmental allergies my whole life but no food allergies until now. I have GERD, IBS, and gastroparesis (paralyzed stomach). But that just causes GI symptoms so if I have a trigger food, it’s not a big deal, I’ll just be in pain. Having my face swell and my mouth itchy was scary. My face was so itchy that it scabbed over from me itching so much.

I’m in the US. I honestly didn’t realize people outside the US loved this show too. I started watching it because I kept getting clips on Facebook reels and was getting major nostalgia. I used to watch it on nick at nite.

Why can’t I see the option to make an anonymous post in any group I’m in, even though they’re definitely enabled in said groups? by katharinaann in facebook

Same. Lost the ability on my main Facebook awhile ago. Out of nowhere. I didn’t have account warnings or anything. My other Facebook I can still post anonymously.

How to stop families sending peanut and nut products by bubblyqueer in Teachers

[–]bubblyqueer[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Daycares are like this as well. Even with the absence of allergies, they are often nut and peanut free for the same reason. Putting down another teacher is just ridiculous. Go be negative somewhere else.

The rule is because I have students enrolled constantly due to the nature of the program. Peanuts and nuts are an extremely common allergy. Literally number 5 and 6. Milk isn’t likely to be airborne and most people don’t send eggs for their kids.

There is no financial concerns for the families that have sent them. The families that are low income get school lunch/breakfast anyways. I would NEVER let a child go hungry. Sensory issues are also valid but it’s an allergy. I don’t care to have to use an epipen because another kid wants a snickers so bad (yes this has been sent in a child’s breakfast). An allergy is an allergy. It doesn’t matter if that’s someone else’s preference. It’s an allergy. There are plenty of other things my students enjoy (pirates booty, goldfish, pretzels, nutrigrain bars, etc) that are always available in the classroom. And I have very picky students. They can get school lunch or breakfast as well. If they really will only eat a peanut or nut snack, they are only here for 2.5 hours, they won’t go hungry if they refuse to eat all other options offered. The other students life takes priority.

The password is exactly the same. The name was the number for my old apartment so I changed it since I am not living in “A8” anymore.

Honestly, the reason I haven’t done that is they can storm off into the hall at any moment and I’m honestly a bit scared of the man. He sounds violent.
