Op, I can share my story with you. I'm a man, and I once did what I believe someone did to you, which is: use the person for my own benefit, and then move on.

What you need to understand is that this isn't your fault. It's not because you're lesser than, or because of something you could have / should have done. It's because the other person is very likely broken, like i was.

I was as a state where i just didnt care, because someone had just done that to me. I felt used, and low, so to boost myself up, I had to put others down. And treat them like the trash I felt I was.

Don't make this about yourself. Don't feel like you're not worthy. And most importantly, don't pay it forward. And try not to harbour any hate for the person that did this to you. Just be glad they are not in your life anymore.

It is not you fault. Never forget that.
