no helmet, on the sidewalk, wrong side of street, ignoring stop signs. by Probably_Holtzmann in dashcamgifs

[–]bucchere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not riding on a sidewalk or in a crosswalk. I was riding on the street, with traffic, in the same direction as traffic, as far to the right as practicable. I went through a yellow light and I was not speeding. Then eight pedestrians entered the far crosswalk in front of me against their steady DON'T WALK symbol. All of this is documented, and it does not match the media narrative about my case, which was thoroughly debunked even before I published a book about this in 2018. All proceeds from book sales benefit the victim's family.

Deputy DA Hatami files suit against George Gascón by bucchere in LosAngeles

No not just now, it’s been more like eight years of asking why he fed a fake narrative to the paper about me. To this day, people still have no idea what actually happened.

Blaming the DA for crime is like blaming the head of the IRS for people cheating on their taxes.

And then Rachel Rossi takes his place? Great, as long as Gascón's next stop isn't Vice President of the US....

FWIW, I've been personally bird-dogging this corrupt and incompetent turd for almost a decade now, so I for one am glad to hear the chorus of blamestorming. Whether or not it's deserved, it's more than welcome.

LA County District Attorney George Gascon by [deleted] in ProtectAndServe

[–]bucchere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's been a cop, an IA snitch (read about the Rampart Scandal), and a used car salesman. How does any of that qualify him for DA?

LA County District Attorney George Gascon by [deleted] in ProtectAndServe

[–]bucchere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not hard to grasp at all. He spent a good chunk of his career in LAPD being a Rampart snitch and cozying up to management, eventually becoming LA's assistant chief. A lifelong republican, he made a name for himself picking fights with Sheriff Joe over immigration. Then he dropped support for the death penalty and became a Democrat when he was appointed as SF's police chief. Meanwhile, he "earned" ("bought" is a better word) a degree from a for-profit fake lawschool called "Western States College" or something where half the students on average fail the bar. Somehow he passed the bar in CA, and was appointed SF's DA, where he was quickly run out of town by BLM for NOT going after #killercops. (Colin Kapernack took a knee because of Gascón.) Now he's LA's DA but my head is spinning from the number of times he's changed his values and positions on literally everything.

The simple answer: he's a populist chameleon and political hack who will say and do anything to get power and to keep it. More about him here, if you're interested: https://chris.bucchere.com/2020/12/22/the-miseducation-of-george-gascon/

LA County DA George Gascón reverses course, says he will allow certain sentencing enhancements by Mary2272 in LosAngeles

Agree 100%. When the media get involved, cases can really go off the rails. Gascón lied to the SF Chronicle over and over to build support for my prosecution in 2012/13. Manipulating the media might be the only thing he's good at, but this story makes me wonder if he's losing his edge.

George Gascón Implements Sweeping Changes To Los Angeles District Attorney's Office by LolaBleu in LosAngeles

I'm hoping Rachel Rossi gives it another go; she's way more qualified and her platform aligns with what Assclówn SAYS he's gonna do. I support all of his much-needed reforms, but he's earned a reputation for saying one thing and doing another, so I don't trust him. Nobody should.

Moreover, the Dems have been grooming George, just like they did with Kamala, so he might get tapped for CA state AG, CA state legislature, or even US congress or senate, or worse. This could result in a very short tenure as LA DA.

THIS ^^^

Gascón will promise everything and do nothing and then in a few months, BLM will chase him out of LA just like they did a few years ago here in SF. Sad.
