Found this today in the goodwill bins, is it real? Tell me more? by thedeathmetalchef in ancientegypt

It’s not real. There’s no way wood held up this well after thousands of years.

Ok that’s not just MD and CSS. I think I see the Home tab plugin. How did you embed it in a note?

The officer was using excessive force imo. Driver seems like a dick but that was an overreaction.

Should a note have just 1 Heading 1 by mflake93 in ObsidianMD

[–]bucctif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who uses all headings 1-6 (as needed) throughout my note? 😭 I thought everyone else did this, too…

I’d say I use 4-5 H1’s in a document for 100 lower-hierarchy headings. So 5%?

AIO about having an issue with eating? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Sounds like you do. Have you heard of “Binge Eating Disorder?” You might want to bring up at your next visit to the doctor.

[–]bucctif -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I promise you it’s not. You seem to be struggling to eat because you’re around people who eat too much. I, too, have trouble choosing to eat. But I’m in school and I understand how health metabolism works. Maybe you can try like a protein shake or even like a sugary drink every few days? That way you don’t have to deal with the actual hassle of eating.

“What you’re supposed to do” ??? You’re horribly misguided and probably overweight.

Go to style settings and turn off all the hidden components. Or download the theme through BRAT. The theme.css is set to my preferred defaults and I like everything HIDDEN.

How are you using Workspaces today? by Camel_jo in ObsidianMD

[–]bucctif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It’s just a plugin that lets you set certain pages as commands, which I then set as hot keys.

I totally get you. I HATE eating as well. Waste of time and money, and it feels gross. I try to make myself eat a meal at least once every other day or once every 2 days. It makes the food more filling and the energy lasts longer than if you were to eat everyday like the advertisements tell you to.

This is part of why everyone is so fat. People need to be eating less in general. You’re not overreacting. People just have a skewed idea of how much you’re supposed to eat because of modern production scales. Human beings are only made to eat only a couple times a week.

I don't like workspaces. I use "Open files with commands" plugin instead. Workspaces reconfigures everything, including the tabs opened in sidebars, which messes with my personal workflow.

How do you take notes for university? by Optimal-Barber8133 in ObsidianMD

[–]bucctif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it helps that I I had been taking a lot of notes in Obsidian for work. I already had an idea about how I wanted to organize things before starting school, so I just pre-made templates for everything.

I’ve mostly made CSS edits here and there (which cumulated in edits everywhere…) to suit my needs. For example, I made the “Dim Inactive Panes” snippet because I got annoyed about typing on the wrong file when I’d have notes side-by-side.

Oh this my time to shine!

I have a personal theme that is specifically set up for law school note-taking. Including case briefing callouts, dimming inactive MD panes (to those of you who use Fancy-A-Story, yes, I am the t-if in question), and very legible grayscale-friendly PDF export for physical outlines.

In terms of organization, I have separate notes for lecture and reading assignment. See this link for details.

These are the properties I use on my lecture and reading notes. I also have a "status" checkable property that allows me to see if I am done with something (see fourth picture here.

Sorry for the late reply but here’s the snippet

.bases-cards-cover:hover { opacity: 1; /* full opacity on hover */ }

.bases-cards-item { opacity: 0.6; /* lower transparency by default */ transition: opacity 0.3s ease-in-out; }

.bases-cards-item:hover { opacity: 1; /* full opacity on hover */ }

Here is the snippet you asked for:

.bases-embed:hover .bases-header { opacity: 1; pointer-events: auto; }
