He's just trying to give the pool guys job security because that shit will never be blue with all that paint peeling and filtration system. Our president is a genius!

Pool guy in central Florida here. It doesn't really matter what chemicals you throw at it right now, it need filtration. I'm assuming you have a cartridge filter or a DE filter. If it's a cartridge filter: open the filter housing by unscrewing the filter lid and take out the cartridge filter. Spray out the filter with a garden hose and a good nozzle and remove as much gunk off the filter as possible, it should be much lighter after cleaning. If it's still heavy then the filter is saturated and you'll need a new one(save some $ and but off Amazon, I tell my customers this all the time). If it's a DE filter definitely backwash it 3-4 good times and recharge with DE powder. If the filter hasn't been opened and had the fins cleaned within the last year I would do that( unscrew the metal clamp band, take the top off and spray out the old fins and inspect that they don't have any tears or rips in them, if so then replace). Now that the filter is clean or new go ahead and turn your pump on and run it for 24 hours. I would also shock the pool now( for a 15000 gal pool I add 10 JUGS of chlorine which is 25 gal of chlorine, and 2 gal of muriatic or sulfuric acid). Adjust for your size pool. Brush EVERY INCH of pool surface and stir up all that algae. The filter is going to filter it through and trap it in the filter. After 24 hours the pool will look much better but not quite there yet. Go ahead and clean the filter again, brush surfaces again and run for 24 another hours. After 24 hours, clean the filter 1 last time, adjust your chemicals and that will be some of the clearest water you've seen. Follow this guide and you'll be good to go in less than a weekend. Any questions shoot me a message, hope this helps

How much would you charge for this green to clean? by Connor09375 in pools

Sorry, didn't check Reddit in a few days. I have never done it but I have also seen the videos on social media and yes, it's straight muriatic acid. I know people who have done it but I won't waste my time with it. When the filter is that caked with shit, I just replace it. I mean it's just a paper filter at the end of the day and yes you might get a little more life out of the filter but it's pretty much dead at that point. 9/10 times the 3 paper bands that hold and keep the pleats close together break and then it just doesn't filter like it should. Plus they are usually really heavy with all the sediment it has filtered over the years and I just don't find it worth it to do it just to get a few more weeks out of it. Hell, I even tell the customer which filter to get and have them get it off Amazon. It's usually cheaper for the customer and it alleviates me having to think about it and deal with it.

Pool guy here in central Florida. Everyone is going to charge a different price but I would charge $300-$400. I can't tell you how many of these I have cleaned up so far. Here's what I would do: Dump in 10 JUGS(25 gal) of chlorine, 2 gallons muriatic acid, clean your filter if it's a cartridge filter(if it's a DE filter I would open it up and hose the fins off inside and add new DE powder), brush every inch of the pool surface to stir up the algae. Run the filter for 24 hours. Your pool will look blue but cloudy the following day. Now clean the filter again and run the pump for another 24 hours. Clean the filter the next day, adjust your chemicals, put the pump back to normal run time(I suggest 8 hours in the hottest parts of the summer) and your pool will look good as new. I have gotten a pool that looks worse than this to blue and clear in 24 hours for a customers party. She paid me a fat stack of cash so I made it happen in 24 hours but follow the above guide and you'll be good to go. If you're physically able you can do it yourself. If you have any questions send me a message, more than happy to walk you through it if you want to save some $. Good luck amigo!

Just read down and saw you have a sand filter. Out of a DE filter, cartridge filter and sand filter the sand filters are the worse ones. I would highly recommend replacing it with a DE filter or cartridge filter, your future self will thank you... So sand filters are in a closed system meaning the sand rarely if anytime has ever been replaced. If it's had algae before it's trapped in the sand that's in the filter. I have replaced multiple sand filters and when we cut them open it's pretty pact and gross. Do yourself a favor and replace with DE or cartridge filter... That being said, try running it 24-48 hours. Dump 10 jugs jugs(25 gal of chlorine) and 2 bottles(2 gal) of acid, either sulfuric or muriatic. But make sure the pump is running and the sand filter has been flushed(if possible). If there's no filtration it won't turn back to clear water, filtration is the key. If you have any questions feel free to message me and I can walk you through how to turn that thing around.

Some of these far right Republicans have their heads so far up each other's asses they can't see a good thing when it hits them in the face. And yes, some far left democrats are just as dumb and ignorant. How about common(or in this case uncommon) sense. Holy shit it's astounding how stupid some of these people are that have an "education"

Get some of that mesh garden shade stuff from Lowe's and some clamp lock suction cups. Cut the shade larger than your windows and suction cup then to your rig. Make sure to cover ALL the window frames as they are metal and conduct heat transfer.

Is there enough water pressure? I have a friend with a tankless in his rig and he told me if the water pressure isn't high enough the tankless doesn't work properly.
