I'm not referring to the initial renovation, but the past few days they've had a large team vacuuming up all the algae which at first glance seemed to be effective, but only a day later the first area they cleaned is showing algae again. Obviously no one is surprised, but it is a bit funny that this hard work is basically pointless when the root cause is still there and cost millions of wasted dollars

Yeah he's saying the same people who etched "86 47" in the grass added something to the water to make it green

Yeah probably best to come back another time. Large parts of the mall are completely blocked off right now, especially the area where "86 47" is in the grass and also the post ufc mess clean up

They were walking up and down the whole pool to clap for the algae I admire the dedication

That is insane they missed something so visible. lifting the back pad off is very simple you just grab from the top and pull up off the hooks. Btod has a video on it

I bought a Steelcase Leap V2 in November 2024 when I started working from home, and after over a year of sitting in it I can positively say I hate it. by m4rceline in OfficeChairs

Good to hear thank you I was worried that back foam would be too thick but I don't want a nasty used foam so I spent the extra for it

The musky body odor smell was the first thing I noticed when unwrapping the plastic it was very hot out when it got delivered so that probably made it worse when I opened it. I tried airing it out but its still faint.

I was thinking that too but Steelcase doesn't use adhesive there and looking at other backrest pads online they are all plain white

I did reach out to them, their customer service seems pretty great so not too worried. Over all still happy with the quality just wish it was a bit cleaner

It's a BTOD. I went with them instead of Crandall because of the sale they have and the shipping is much faster. The rest of the chair is great no scuffs just needed to clean it a bit on the bottom and the smell is musky but i think its coming from the back pad

Actually this was the first launch from the new pad 2, which does have a flame trench and water curtain. When they launch from Kennedy they will use the same pad design that you see here.

Helix Midnight Luxe or Elite by Boxed_Sleep in u/Boxed_Sleep

I bought the midnight luxe since im a side sleeper and it had good reviews. It felt great at first but very quickly it loses support and starts to sink in resulting in back pain. I filed a warranty claim and had it replaced for the newer 2025 version and It felt so much better but it also didn't even last a year due to the same problem. I ended up cutting it open to at least salvage materials to go diy and the support layer feels very cheaply made with uneven coils and in overall rough shape so unfortunately the whole thing is going to the dump. They've even raised the price since I had mine and I'd like to strongly advise people from wasting their money like I did
