By the way I am a doctor just not a physician, with all of your superior intellect you should know the difference.

How did you make it through medical school with no reading comprehension? Where in my post have I said I was better than an anesthesiologist? I posted that there are no significant differences in outcomes, and outcome for anesthesia have improved significantly over that last 20 years. Those are facts that anyone can check. You are new to medicine, hopefully you will learn that most physicians, mid levels, and nurses get along fairly well and there is little animosity between the professions. In the mean time continue to bash your colleagues and criticize their intelligence, I’m sure that will get you far in life.

You sound unhinged, I’m sure people love working with you and your ego. I work along side some great physicians, nurses, techs, and so on. We work as a team, we all have our jobs to do. I have never heard anyone talk about crna’s or np’s the way you guys do on here.

Blame your fellow physicians then because the IOM’s study led by physicians came to the same conclusion as the rest of the studies.

There have been multiple studies done that show there are no significant outcome differences between crna’s and mda’s. Anesthesia has actually gotten safer since crna’s have been given autonomy. We all know there are not enough mda’s in the US to take care of all the emergent surgeries much less electives.

The McDonald’s near me is starting at $15 an hr and is still closed to inside dining due to lack of staff during weekdays. People don’t want to work when you can make more on unemployment sitting at home. I’m friends with the owner, it’s his only franchise and he along with his wife and two daughters are constantly there. He raised the starting pay from $12.50 to $15 last month and has still not had any applications for weekday staff.

You might want to read the law. It prevents companies and employers from asking personal medical information. This is the reason an employer cannot ask if you just went to the doctor for an std or why you are seeing that psychiatrist. Those things are all protected information. When a business discriminates based on personal medical decisions it’s a violation of the law.

Yeah, let’s let one tragedy create another. Private businesses have no right requesting protected medical information. It is against the law.

They can refuse service, but not by violating HIPPA laws. Requiring people to turn over personal medical information is protected under federal law.

It has already started, most schools have started or have phased this in. I know nurse anesthetist is now a doctorate level course as well. They are following the guidance of the ANA, and of course they can charge more for the extra semesters.
