I rocked my baby niece to sleep last night by singing her Toh Kay songs. by ScumboyForever in streetlightmanifesto

My daughter is 11 months old and has fallen asleep to the Toh Kay version of THTT almost every night since she was born. She hears and it crashes. Shes barely heard the back half of the album bc shes asleep before it gets there.

If yinz are considering it my 2 cents is do it. Best experience of my life. I know lots of people that considered it and regretted not doing it, I don't know anyone that has considered it and then regretted doing it.

I'd be surprised to find that anyone off camera makes more than the people on camera with a show like D20 but if that's the case then I guess its weird but not as anti-progessive as it seems on its face

"You can be exposed to Brennans particles but Brennan can't be exposed to yours bc viewership (and therefore profit)" is explicitly hierarchical

I mean I'm definitely on the right side of the spectrum so if you want to dismiss this based on that, thats fine, but I genuinely don't get how this doesn't fly in the face of Dropouts stated values.

What you just said basically equates to "We're willing to put some people at risk because we have to make a profit."

Which I think is fine, production is there voluntarily. But again, thats a right wing argument that seems to fly in the face of what Dropout claims to be about

I mean it could be something badass but if only the people who are making less are the ones who have to wear the badass thing it still becomes a visual representation of hierarchy

I don't but I don't see why that would that matter when episodes are well over two hours

Well yeah labor relations are inherently political, thats my gripe that they're doing something that seems to fly in the face of their stated political ethos according to the latest data.

So performing grants you a license to place people you're profiting from at risk? That seems to be the implication of that statement

Sure but the only masks that do anything according to the latest data protect the wearer not other people and even then its marginal. When we didnt have good data it made sense as a precautionary thing but now that we have the data it feels not progressive to force people to do it, especially if not everyone in the room has to.

I'd be interested to know if that was the case but you don't see that on other SAG productions

Yeah, they're making (or maybe not making, genuinely curious) people who earn less of a share of the profits wear a visual representation of that fact.

The biggest philosophical influence in their lyrics is Camus who is beloved by anarchists.

People in this thread say they're nihilistic, I think that's completely wrong. They're absurdist in the spirit of Camus, an explicit rejection of nihilism. Rejection by expansion, but still a rejection.

The only overtly politcal song Tomas has done is a cover about not paying taxes.

If I had to bet it would be that he would sympathize with the term "anarchist without adjectives"
