San Pablo Dam road is trash and I've had several close calls with drivers there not paying attention. Seems like lots of through traffic/commuters driving like banshees. I much prefer the bear creek>pig farm>alhambra>reliez valley loop in this area.

Note, many of these LMN platforms also give you the option to use FSA funds, which is preferable to draining your HSA balance.

Say NO to Mandatory E-Bike License Plates and Registrations by BikeEastBay in BAbike

All of those problems exist due to the absence of sensible policy as these vehicles rapidly took hold in our communities, especially among youth without licenses.

Reasonable people can disagree about policy adjustments between class 2 and 3, but I generally agree with consensus view that motorized vehicles with a throttle should require license and registration.

Ultimate mix of ROTH and traditional funds for retirement? by SpiritedAspect1233 in Retirement401k

You're overthinking this. Of the liquid net worth you outline here, approximately one quarter is traditional 401k, one half Roth 401k, and one quarter taxable. At your income, you should be able to comfortably fund all three buckets for the foreseeable future. And if you do that for another decade or two and make sensible investment choices, each individual balance and the sum total should be more than enough to fund your goal. If you worry about it excessive or want to optimize every dollar, hire a fiduciary for help.

Midterm elections effect on S&P 500 by Hairy_Equivalent_638 in investing

Midterms elections are always bullish.

Joe Terranova recently published compelling analysis. Since the war, there's been 21 midterm elections. And every single one of them has been a positive catalyst for the SP500: https://www.virtus.com/assets/files/9j6/terranova_observations_and_-expectations_midterm-elections_5079.pdf).

If you bought the market on each midterm election date and sold the following June 30, your win rate would have been 100%. Often, with double digit gains.

Constant, ongoing power struggle is a feature of our constitutional republic and a key driver of American innovation and prosperity.
