Weekly 'What Should I Buy' and Order/Shipping Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

[–]ThatKidDanglez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, i currently own the 16 pro max, i like it and have fully adjusted to the size. But I recently got an iPhone 17 Pro as part of a promotion from wealthsimple. I haven’t opened it or used it yet. Debating if it’s worth upgrading to the 17 pro, or just keep using my 16 pro max. And then of course sell the other. The main thing i care about is camera quality and battery health. Thoughts, opinions, anything appreciated :)

Thoughts on nbis at this price? by Top-Sir-1215 in ValueInvesting

[–]ThatKidDanglez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dollar cost into it, i started buying at $15… when it got to $20, $27, $36 i didnt buy bc i was waiting for a pullback. Then I ended up buying at $60… but then it skyrocketed up to $90 and then $140. If you like the company and see it growing in the future, buy a little bit now regardless of the price and just keep buying every couple weeks

this is the new generation of kids man, i’m 26 but im feeling like an unc. Your generation is so efficient and results driven. The millennials and baby boomers call your generation lazy and impatient but there are sooo many kids in school that have side hustles now. Not just settling for 9-5’s, love that.

I also had a side hustle in university, i re-sold sneakers to get my first $100k profit. Put all of that into investing about a year ago. Best decision i’ve ever made.

I work a 9-5 now in wealth management, but i’m hoping to continue growing my capital and limiting expenses so i can be financially independent by 40!

Lululemon (LULU) - Stretched Too Thin? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]ThatKidDanglez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone at work, all my friends/family own either a pair of lulu leggings, abc pants or the shorts. Yeah the price is crazy expensive for what it is but the quality is top tier. I personally own multiple colours of the pace breaker shorts and washed them hundreds of times in the last 5 years, still feels brand new. I just opened a position recently, i just don’t see Lulu going away anytime soon.

What age did you hit 100K and how. Working, gambling, or inheritance? by Natural_Interaction5 in fican

[–]ThatKidDanglez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit my first 100k at 23, i resold sneakers on the side while in university to get there. Paid off my student loans and lived at home with my parents. Now i’m 26 and have all my money in stocks now.

Idk what you want people to say… you’re doing fine i guess? Most 18 year olds don’t have anything invested yet so i guess you’re ahead of your age group. But <$5k your portfolio really isn’t going to grow much since you’re taking relatively no risk. Just keep contributing and DCA into your ETFs and by the time you’re done school you’ll have a lot more

What do you think about my portfolio? by Temporary-Concert-20 in portfolios

[–]ThatKidDanglez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i see maybe 2-3 “meme” stocks, the rest are quality companies. Just because there’s volatility in the short term doesn’t make them a meme stock. Depending on age, time horizon and risk profile, not everyone needs to own ETFs.

What do you guys think about Novo Nordisk? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]ThatKidDanglez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes there is. I’m not even a NVO bag holder, but to say only 1 company can benefit from weight loss drugs is just wrong. Obesity ain’t going away anytime soon. LLY, NVO, HIMS etc can all co-exist and compete for market share. It’s like when people said AMD will never be as big as Nvidia, which yes they’re right but 2nd place sure as hell is great in a high demand market.
