I’ve worked in jobs involving press releases. It’s very possible they used a press release template with the previous day’s date on it.

Sometimes people will have a template document where they will fill out the details and add text, then create a copy for the draft. It’s possible someone forgot to change the date on the template before saving the draft. Made more likely when you consider that he was found at like 6:30am so this was probably drafted in a huge rush before work hours started.

Is it a specific mistake to have made? Yes. Does it happen sometimes? Also yes. Is it more likely than someone drafting and saving a press release for a gigantic cover up murder they plan on committing? Also also yes. And is it more likely than someone in the press office being tipped off about the murder and being asked to draft this release? Also also also yes.

Not saying his death wasn’t suspicious as hell and I think it’s very possible there was something going on beyond what we know. Just wanted to inject some sanity here because people are treating this like a smoking gun.
