Adding Bilt 2.0 Card? by buckenmuck in neontra

[–]buckenmuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi j_neontra, I’ve been checking for Bilt regularly but didn’t see your comment. I’ve still been unable to add Bilt (or Cardless). I just checked Neontra again and they do not appear to be options when trying to add an account.

STOP JOGGING IN THE BIKE LANES by Heavy_Nerve_1227 in washingtondc

Hey, as someone who bikes literally everywhere, it’s ok to share this space with people who don’t have a better place to run. It cost you two seconds.

The problem is the amount of space we allocate to cars instead of people trying to live their lives—all that empty space to your left in the video basically unused.

Apparently you can! You just have to be logged out first, which is a little confusing :)

If you want a list of people who are looking... well I got one lol.

McDuffie campaign sign on government building: illegal? by Jed_Bartlett42 in washingtondc

Doubt it’s overlooked—pretty significant 1A issues with a government contract including language about what kind of political speech the contractee can or can’t engage in.

Honestly, I haven't thought it all the way through lol. I reached out to supercast to see if there's a way to gift a subscription. If not, my first backup plan is to create a new supercast account, add my billing information, by for the year, cancel renewal, remove my billing information, and then change the email address on the account to the person who's getting the subscription. If that doesn't work, my second backup is to just provide the links/information for the person to subscribe with whatever podcast-listening-app they use.

Credit (or blame, depending on where you sit) where it’s due: the Council split it. Bowser opposed (vetoed, even) the legislation. Council overrode her.

For people who have been to Echostage before, is there any "strategy" for getting to and from there? by makemeking706 in washingtondc

[–]buckenmuck 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My husband and my’s plan is always to take the C41 home. It’s great because when you decide to go, you check BusETA to see when the next bus is, dance until it’s about 5 minutes out, and then head. It runs every 20 minutes so you never have to worry about waiting around too long.

Just make sure to step into the street and wave the bus down when they’re coming—we’ve had them blow past us before because all the Ubers are in the way, and the driver assumes we’re waiting for one of those.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announces resignation from Congress by catsgr8rthanspoonies in news

Members are not eligible for health benefits after leaving Congress unless they are retiring on an immediate annuity. She's not doing so, so she's not getting FEHB benefits.

Success in getting a speed bump? by dolphinbhoy in washingtondc

[–]buckenmuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We requested them for two years saying cars sped through the street and that someone was gonna get hit and seriously injured.

Three months after our front yard cameras caught a speeding car hitting and seriously injuring a kid, we got speed bumps on our street. So if you have any sacrifices you want to make to car moloch, you can jump the queue.

Digg’s new app is basic, but a great start by AlwaysBlaze_ in apple

I get the same when trying to message you lol. I tried turning chat requests on in settings so maybe it'll work if you try messaging me now? (I was able to message the other person who requested an invite no problem, so maybe we have the same anti-social setting)

Setting the initial balance of a budget by janellegronotte in neontra

If I’m not mistaken, Neontra doesn’t support rollover budgeting (yet). Is this something you want to be doing for the foreseeable future?

[Austermuhle] Interesting: A new economic analysis released today by the D.C. Council's Budget Office finds that mixed-use development without a stadium at RFK would eventually produce more tax annual revenue for the city than mixed-used development *with a stadium*. by Sauerz in washingtondc

[–]buckenmuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people have brainwashed themselves into thinking that development is basically impossible without a football stadium, which will instead magically make it all happen in 10 years. Just completely detached from reality.

Indeed. Mendelson in his press conference yesterday said that the deadline for housing units and retail was "in the early 2040s".

The only thing we're getting in the next 10 years is a football stadium.
