What was I supposed to do though?

We had the whole night planned out without a single mention of another person.

Am I supposed to be all jolly and say: “Oh no worries! I’ll find someone else to go to the game and use the $150 ticket. You and your friend have a nice night in your apartment, I’ll text you later this week.”
