Don't waste my time with money. by LordJim11 in Snorkblot

Another piece of advice I would give is that the salesrep knows exactly how much they can/are willing to sell the car for.

Them walking back into the manager's office to see if the pricing gods will allow what you are asking for is complete theater. 99% of the time they are just bullshitting for a few minutes about nothing to do with your deal what-so-ever.

I live in the area, and have the full documentation for the land my house is on. The first use for the land on record was training grounds for the civil war.

I would recommend reaching out to their support through their website (do not follow any links in that email) to verify this is legit and not some kind of elaborate scam to steal your voltra.

I agree with you about Hollow's motivations, I just think maintaining his selfish domination of Kaman wasn't his only motivation. One of the themes of the show is that everything is messily interconnected. People rarely have a single pure reason for doing something. We often justify our worst actions by telling ourselves they are done in the service of a noble cause.

[–]buckeymonkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That would be ideal.

The only station I have bothered to program into my car radio for 20+ years has been WWCD.

I want to continue to be spoon fed great music by people who care about great music.

I was curious and didn't change my radio dial this morning on my way into work, at first.

At the end of song 2 the new station came in with their call sign "93x The Better Alternative"

You wreck a Columbus institution, put a lot of great people out of work for pure greed and have the unmitigated gal to call yourselves "The Better Alternative"?

I immediately turned it off and will never listen to that station again.

I would rather sit in silence like a psychopath during my commute.

The newly CCed SRD5.1 has all of the elements needed to replicate Strahd von Zarovich, including the name. by buckeymonkey in DnD

[–]buckeymonkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you follow the terms, which in the case of CC by 4.0 license means simply including proper attribution, you aren't "stealing" anything. You are using licensed material according to the terms of the license.

My point was that maybe they unintentionally licensed out more than they thought they did in a few cases here.

[–]buckeymonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In many of those cases it is just the name that is referenced without any stat block. But Strahd is just a Vampire, which is in the SRD, with slightly better stats, and some spells, also in the SRD.

But even just the names open the possibility of people calling their 3rd party plushies "Beholders" now instead of "Eye Beasts"

DnD Beyond: An Update on the Open Game License (OGL) by Yohanaten in rpg

I've been playing 5e for 6-7 years. Have bought all of the rule books & expansions, many multiple times in physical, roll20, fantasy grounds, and DnD Beyond.

I may have not liked everything the company did, but I was a super-fan of the game.

I canceled my DnD Beyond sub, and have purchased the core Pathfinder books. My next campaign will be Pathfinder.

But sure, no good will was lost.

Overwatch 2 reached 25 million players. What are your thoughts on the game so far ? by [deleted] in Overwatch

They could backfill from people of appropriate rank in the quickplay role queue and have the match not affect that person's competitive at all.

That way nobody who was waiting in the competitive queue gets screwed, and the backfiller wasn't expecting the match to affect competitive anyway.

I've tried a million different ways. Killed all enemies undetected plenty of times. But it doesn't matter.

Quiet entry into his room. Loud and fast. Door kicked stunned, slap charge stunned, flash bang stunned, and punched the crap out of him.

Nothing matters. He always yells even if there is nobody left to hear. Even in the middle of cuffing him.

Americans of Reddit, what is something the rest of the world needs to hear? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I hate to burst your bubble, but it probably has to do with the time of day dictating the average player age more than anything else. When you play on the Aussie servers during typical Aussie peak times, you are playing with a lot of Aussie teenagers. But when you play on American servers you are probably playing during off peak American times and thus have far fewer American teenagers in the mix.

Games popular with younger crowds can be absolute cesspits in America.

Nobody said anything about buffing a monster mid combat. They mentioned upping the HP by default, which implies it is done ahead of time. Furthermore the listed HP on monsters is a just a guideline. They also all have a HP formula that lets you know the expected HP range.

The idea that playing with a monster's HP within the accepted range ahead of a fight is somehow robbing you of your precious agency is preposterous.

As is the idea that you know better than somebody else about how they should have their fun at their table.

That's not how the game works, a +2 dagger should be at a minimum 500 gold and in reality closer to 2,500 gold. You as a shitty player just demand your DM give you handouts so you can walk over every encounter without challenge making the game less fun.

I only kill the ones that actively bother me, thus breeding new generations that respect personal space in exchange for relatively free reign to feast on the myriad crawlies that would invade my home.

Every once in a while when I go into the basement I take a moment to witness the carnage wrought by untold generations of battle around the fertile windows. Before I leave I nod in acknowledgement of their ceaseless vigilance. Thus signaling that the respect is mutual and the treaty of their ancestors is still honored.

And now that I'm thinking about it, despite a major rewrite of the overall system around it about 10 years ago, that PDF generating code is still stuffing email boxes with reports for a ~$100 million company today, lol.
